Almost done with production. Then you get to wait for ground transport to Southampton to receive your ship assignment. I finished production 9/13 and my ship left Southampton 9/20, if that helps in constructing your timetable.

This is ridiculous!!! I'm sitting here on my couch, iPhone in one hand, laptop open and on.

On the iPhone I'm using the maps app to see the location of the locks in the Panama Canal.

On the laptop I've got two windows going. 1 is the webcam of the lock my bots and mini are heading to next, the Miraflores Locks. 2 is the Marine Tracking site showing exactly where the boat is.

I'm bound and determined to get a look at my boat as it hits the locks.

What a way to sit on my day off!!

The more I refresh the OL, the quicker my MINI will be assigned a ship, right? RIGHT?!

In other news, I think I found the root cause of my heated seats issue: a bug on the MINI website. You can choose the Cold Weather Package on the first page of the configurator, but when you choose the City Pack (or other package), the heated seats go away (but leave the other two items from the CWP). I recorded a video and sent it to the GM of the dealership.

Ignore the OL and call 1-866-ASK-MINI if you're seeking your shipboard assignment. When did you finish production?

It was finished on Sept 19. Just gave a call and she has arrived at the port, but doesn't have a ship assignment yet. Hopefully, she'll be partying on the 10/1 sailing of the Honor.

Did you plug the last 7 of your VIN in the Cargo ID section of the WW website yet?

Dave:

Either that, or you're still writing as if you're short of billable hours...

I'm semi-retired (age 57), so I average 30 billable hours and 2-3 court days per week. My wife (age 56) retires next summer, but I'll wait until Social Security-eligibility (age 62). Then I'll be a Roadster-driving beach bum full-time. Seriously.

Almost there! I am impatiently waiting for my scheduled delivery tomorrow. I finally pick up my JCWCM tomorrow. This forum has been a brilliant place to learn about Minis including the entire delivery process. Who would have thought I could track the locations of the cargo ship leaving the Port in Germany, stopping in Southampton, across the Atlantic and into the Port of Baltimore. Thank you, all! My Mini support group.

The Mini Owners site still says my CM is it at the Distribution Center, the Ask Mini automatic phone system says it is in transit, and my MA told me it was scheduled to load the truck two days ago and arrive at the dealer yesterday. I will post photos ASAP.

No confusion there.

I'm glad to see you're taking delivery, so please accept my heart-felt congratulations on your new MINI! Weeks of waiting will soon be forgotten. Display your pictures, TJANK!

I have. No luck yet. I'll just have to keep doing that every hour...

I received at least 25 "no records found" before I struck gold. When my info magically appeared, I couldn't believe it! My ship's in the middle of the Atlantic, so it's beyond tracking range. Assuming the Torino docks in Baltimore as scheduled (10/2 at 4:00 AM EST), I'll resume my crazed tracking procedures once more.

Are we sure that the Cargo ID will work all the time with just the last seven on the WW site? I was under the impression the entire VIN should be searched. Frank

I noticed this also when I tried to reproduce my original configuration on the MINI site. When I was initially playing around about a month ago it would let you select both packages, now it removes the heated seats from the one when you select the other.

I've always used the entire VIN on the WW website.
