Joining NAM from Tampa, FL

Hey, everyone...finally settled on NAM, after reading a few threads about the who/what/why about MINIs. I bought my first MINI (2009 R57) in April, but flat-traded that last week for an '08 R55 that was similarly equipped. Now I'm looking at a few mods to tighten up the handling, maybe a FMIC for starters.

"I shall name him...MINI me"

Thanks for the greetings everyone! Yeah, I liked the Hardtop, but really loved the Clubman, and when I went to Wesley Chapel MINI just to check on the maintenance, dah...started calling my name as soon as I stepped out of my R57. It's been a week now, no surprises.

Way, I was just thinking of calling you to ask you about the torque arm bushings, your WMW suspension package, and the WMW BOV. The Clubby is a bit squiddly in the back, and there's lots of nasty lifted F-250s who think they can intimidate me. (I nimbly rabbit-ed around a F-150 4x4 who tried to chase me in my first MINI) Haha...need a BMW to play this sport, buddy.

Meboko and Yetti, thanks for the referral to SSM, I was wondering how to catch up with all these MINI owners I see driving around Florida. I might ask you a few things about suggested starter mods (nothing crazy, just belt-tightening)

Belt-tightening? The first thing I put in my MINI was a CG Lock. Not sure why everyone doesn't have one. It holds you in place like no OEM lap/shoulder belt can. If you want to toss your MINI through the twisties then do just that and not toss yourself around in the seat.

Haha...that was a metaphor, tightening one's pants belt - as in tweaking its overall performance. Not literally tightening the seat belts, though the suggestion is appreciated. Where would I find something like that?

Knew that!
Amazon or Ebay should carry them. Best mod ever!
