My MA gave me a print screen of the Vehicle Inquiry when I ordered which shows the port loc on it. If you didn't get that, I'm sure you could ask the MA or possibly ASK-MINI. My MA has been great at keeping me updated, so I really haven't had to call the 800 number.

 

I'm jealous of all you guys who have taken delivery of your cars. This is the best photo I've seen of my car so far, from www.marinetraffic.com.

Just called ASK MINI and my current status is "Your vehicle production is complete and is waiting to be released to the carrier."

Yesterday it was "In the paint shop."

Anyone know if it is possible for my MINI to make Sunday's boat (MIGNON) out of Southampton or is this wishful thinking?

Same here, but mine will be in the port in Germany. Actually, there is a 9hr truck drive (based on Google Maps) from the factory in Austria to the port in Germany, so mine probably won't make any ships this weekend.

I estimate 4-5 weeks until I take possession, which falls within the 6-8 week estimate given to me by my MA.

My Clubman has been sitting at Scheduled for Production for a week now. Trying to be patient...but patience is hard.

 

The trip for my JCW from the arrival of the boat in Baltimore to the time the car was processed at the VDC and was loaded on a truck was less than 10 hours.

 

Considering my dealership is MINI Of Baltimore, I should have a pretty short wait compared to others.

Just got a message from my MA, my baby will be ready for pick up tomorrow morn. This is an awesome weekend ;-)

 

Don't get toooooooo excited yet. My JCW was completed 10 days after the order was submitted - and then sat in Oxford for more than 3 weeks before being shipped to the port. There weren't any trouble codes, but there does seem to be some weird stuff going on over there because it's the end of the run for the model year. I just figure we're getting special treatment since we're at the end of the line for R56 JCWs, and everyone at the factory is overwhelmed with sadness at no longer being able to produce the best MINI ever.

 

I won't get overly anxious.... know it can sit at the shipping port for weeks and the ride over is a long one. And then there's all the VDC work and the dealer installed options. This is our fourth MINI ordered new, been down that road a few times. Still very suprised at just how fast my baby is being born.

 

I hope things keep moving this fast for you. With your record of ordering new MINIs, maybe the company thinks the sooner they get this one to you, the sooner you'll order another one!

On a somewhat related note, I'm a member of USAA. They have a new car discount program so when I went on their site, their computer told me I could save $877 by ordering thru their site. Went ahead and submitted it and it forwarded my build a MINI dealership in Rockville.

Well, an hour later, they called me. I apologized and told them I'm loyal to MINI Of Baltimore, having purchased all three of the previous new ones and one of the two used ones from them.

Well, I think I must have said something that got their interest because they keep calling my home and cell phones and leaving me messages telling me they appreciate my loyalty to MoB but they can beat them on price and would love a chance to win my loyalty.

 

Well my MINI is built and is now waiting at port for a carrier.. I went through production quick..Im at 3weeks total right now..Which isn't bad.. Its funny my MINI took just over a day to build.. But now is where the waiting starts.. Im sure this will be painfully long But I am excited to be at this point already

Fellow WAITers... help me out. My prettier half tells me this is corny but I think it's a fitting name for my new MINI. Given he's going to be White Silver with a CR roof... a redhead, so to speak. I fell it proper to name him after a famous redhead. And since he's a JCW and built to run, I will name my new MINI... Vincent Van Go. Vincent, for short.

Well up to this point everything has been on time.. Just maybe things will keep moving along.. But onto your name you picked.. I like it I think it fits well as how you came up with it... Im still tossing around a few in my head...but in time I know I will have one that fits it!! I sooo cant wait to drive my new MINI... Plus once I get it maybe I will finally get a good nights rest ha ha
