Yeah, it's pretty amusing that we have such similar cars and ended up with adjacent VINs. What are the odds?

My MA is nice enough, but communication isn't his strong suit. It's killing me that you could have picked yours up today, while mine has gone dark - no news at all. My MA told me that he'll be notified when it gets loaded onto a truck, but so far I've heard nothing. I'm really hoping it gets to the dealer in time for me to pick it up on Friday or Saturday.

Congrats, Congrats...isn't it amazing to finally get to drive your Mini everyday!
Someone on here said every morning on the way to and from work it is like a Mini Vacation. I agree 100% minus the people who try to tailgate in slow traffic.

Thanks everyone!! I brought him home Tuesday night. I took the scenic route driving loops of the twisty roads of Rock Creek Park and giggling until I saw some deer and decided to call it a night. . Didn't drive yesterday due to the forecast winter storm. I'm excited to drive today.

I still haven't seen him in the sunlight, but it should be sunny today.

Our Lil Ragtop is siting at the dock in Southampton patiently waiting for his ticket to be punched, in the rain.

 

I hope the storm doesn't delay the shipping too much. Mine only took a few days to get to Motorwerks. I can't wait to hop the train to Minneapolis on the 13th!

Mine is about 6 months old with 6000 miles, now. L.O.V.E. driving the little beast. It was well worth the wait and the build snafu I experienced to get my car.

Woot! My MA emailed me to say my MINI will be ready tonight! Wife isn't happy about the short notice and hurried dinner schedule, but some things are just more important than family harmony, am I right?

It was so worth the wait! Boy is she fun to drive. We had an absolute blast. Eventually, we had to go get dinner. Sorry, not many pictures. I will post some more tomorrow.

The sunroof decal is really great and very well done by Seattle Mini. We LOVE it. It looks like a black and white chequerboard, but the black areas are sunroof with no decal, and only the white squares are the decal. I had read that when it's sunny it casts a chequerboard pattern inside the car. The view through the sunroof from inside is cool too.

 

Any idea how to rotate the photos? I tried changing the file sizes but no luck.

The night shots are after I installed the black trim around the headlights, the grille, and the taillights. I also put on the JCW side scuttles, and the JCW floor mats - I'll get better pictures of all that in the daylight tomorrow.

This car is an absolute blast! I couldn't be happier.

 

Sad photo, your poor Mini out by itself getting cold. Kind of makes you wish you had a warm garage. (I don't either but no snow either.)

I've changed the lock screen of my HP Win7 PC from their ugly logo to the stock photo of my Mini per the "build your own" brochure:
