"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
Hey all, I finally found that site that I've been looking for that shows where all ships are NOW, off the SAT. The site for getting this is this: www.marinetraffic.com
It shows current conditions, or where the ships are. It is WorldWide, so you have to move the position around. But don't think that you can follow your ship all the way, as there are dead spots, like the Atlantic Ocean. But my Raggi's ship is coming up on Southampton as we speak. Now it's getting fun.

I have good news and bad news. First, my dealer said that damage would have been reported. That's the good news, because that doesn't seem to be the issue then. The bad news is, my dealer says that they have other cars that have been delayed as well.So there must be a big wrench in the works. They are looking into it and hope to let me know the expected delivery date later today.
So rest at ease, well as much as you can.
Congrads to those that have received thiers in the last few days.

thanks for the update buddy.. i guess that just gives my MA more time to get the JCW Spoiler in and painted and ready for my baby. I decided to go ahead and get the JCW spoiler ordered since it really does look great on the tail.
how long did it delay your baby? (snowstorm in MD)

Thanks to everyone for keeping me sane.
Quix - The Green Machine arrived at our dealer this afternoon. Yours should be on the road too. Our MA sent some pics so he's officially on my good list again. I'm getting the clear bra installed and if all goes well, I'll be picking her up on Thursday.
Thanks to everyone for keeping me sane.

Been a quiet day for us all.....
Decided to get my jcw spoiler painted silver on top and blue on bottom vs the black top. I think she's gonna look sweet! Also am first in mn to get a coupe with jcw spoiler.
can't wait for next week.

Boy, this thread has been very quiet! Seems like there are just a few of us left waiting it out. In a little over a week, I should be sporting a perma grin
and sitting pretty behind the wheel of my cute little MINI.
Woo hoo!!
Looking forward to pics of your new babies as you guys get them!!

I mentioned this in another thread but compared to my first two MINIs this appears to be s pretty quick process at six weeks and change. My first one was a horrific wait. Pins and needles. Relative, of course, to car delivery, not real world problems. But anyway, I'm about to order another, preparing for the tracking of the ship and all that... Fun and torturous at the same time. I have a coworker awaiting an R56 as well so we will suffer together.
Well, my Lil Raggi was loaded on the Tirranna on Monday afternoon, Southampton time. He waited all night and the Tirranna was finally released to start his long Atlantic journey at 2:30 or so Tuesday afternoon. As I speak, the Tirranna is steaming out past the English Isles, heading into no man's land, the Atlantic. He is do in Baltimore POA on March 21st at 02:00 am. So, we are progressing nicely, although the wait is almost over in many ways, this last part, the part of the unknown, is the hardest. I don't know how you West coast guys and gals do it. Here' hoping for no big storms.

The status of my MINI as of this morning has changed to "Awaiting Transport" Yahoooooooooo
I hope they built her with all the less problematic parts, as compared to some of these horror stories I'm reading about w.r.t. water pumps, clutches, belt tensioners, sway bars, etc.
So, I guess I need to email my salesman to find out the nitty-gritty details as to what ship she's waiting to board, etc.? Or, is there a more detailed way for me to find this out on my own above & beyond the Owners' Lounge?

Well my Coupe has been at the dealership in Minneapolis since the 3rd of March. It has been horrible knowing it is there and I don't have it but I leave ND tonight at 10pm on the train bound for Minneapolis. As long as everything goes as planned I will be on the road headed back to ND tomorrow morning in my new Baby :-)
As for all those who are still waiting, hang in there......

Update Status: Waiting on the Chesapeake Highway. It's supposed to be in Baltimore on March 16, then on to Brunswick on March 18. Haven't been able to track the ship off the east coast yet. But it won't be too long now. I figure about 2 weeks before I get my MINI.

Don't worry about the small stuff, that's what the warrantee is for. I had to have the water pump replaced, no big deal as I didn't have a problem with it anyway. Think about it, some people just look for problems, and many don't exist in the real world. With my JCW: no horror stories, no clutch problem, or belt tensioners, sway bar problem, just a fun car. And, no Cold Start problem, and I live in Iowa and it does get cold here. Take your new Mini and enjoy it, drive it, beat it a bit and most of all, have fun.

The Tiger is headed to the West Coast as we speak. Did you get on it? If not, the next West Coast ship is on the 26th. Hope you made the Tiger with me.
Very nice, happy motoring ahead!
