"Those waiting for a 2013" Support Group
I came over from the UK a little over 20 years ago, and we still get back there quite often, so not an unreasonable mistake.
Awesome... I was wondering when you mentioned being over at the UK..Nice to see your MINI is moving right along!! cheers!!
I'm guessing its not released from carrier until BMW takes it to their VPC. They work m-f, so that makes sense
I must congrats you on your photographic abilities. Here are two more great pics of your new MINI. I will be posting some soon. Too busy driving my Roadster because it's so much fun.
Thanks, and it's great to finally have it home, isn't it? Don't keep us waiting too much longer!
Congrats!
I am very envious of those who have gotten their cars recently. I just got my production number today, and I'm (not so) patiently waiting to be able to follow the build and delivery process online.
I've ordered an R56S, PW/PW, Carbon black leather & fabric int., Carbon black color line, Sport package w/ black 17" conical spoke wheels, Xenons w/ black housings, white turn signals, auto transmission (my clutch leg is next to useless), auto climate control, Sirius/XM satellite radio, Anthracite headliner, and center arm rest. I hope I've chosen well.
My MA tells me it will take about eight weeks to get it to me here in central Florida. My wife and I are like a couple of kids on Christmas Eve. And this old fossil is already researching what I can/should do for my first mods.

Woah!!!!
Big update for me. Mine showed "scheduled for production" since May 21, 3 days after I placed the order, but today for the first time the "order details" has been filled in with my customizations, so I suspect she is moving down the line. Everything I ordered is there on the order detail except the black driving lights and JCW gauge package, which are installed at the port.
One happy future CMS owner here!

Others may have figured this out long ago, but with my cargo ship (Faust) in the middle of the ocean, I thought I wouldn't be able to track progress until it got close to the Panama canal. Turns out you can use the "Vessels" tab here: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/
Punch in your ship name, and it will give you a location, albeit several hours old and with no icon on the map. But it will at least give you some kind of update. Pretty cool!

Yippee! Just learned my MINI is safely onboard the Michigan Highway as of June 2nd. Currently (6.3.2013 @ 6:28 UTC) located at N 49°43' W 007°16' (Celtic Sea). First port is Baltimore ETA 6.10.2013 14:00 EDT. Need to check ETA for Brunswick, GA.
