that's a truly crappy MA. He didn't even look into your order and obvsiously forgot you had ordered a Countryman.
I bet there's the only dealership in your area too. But hey, if there is a next time, ask for a different MA.

But I got so jazzed about the CM, I went back a month later to order one. Person A wasn't there but to me it wasn't a big deal as he and I never really talked much - as I said, it was for my wife. I did ask for him, but he was gone and I didn't want to come back a week later.
If there is a next time, I'll certainly request a different one. In fact, I'll call and make an appointment with Person A. I am hoping all of the things I've heard about their service come true.
Hope so too.
You will be dealing with person B for a bit longer, you can always ask the Sales Manager to assign person A or another MA to you so that the rest of your experience is better. He would hate for any of his MA's to get poor survey scores so he would be happy to oblige.

On several segments, the ship was averaging way more than 200 nautical miles per hour - peaking at 768. (I sure hope the boat was running Y-rated runflats!)

Now, if my car comes in and it is purple with a green rally stripe because he got something wrong, that is a whole 'nuther issue.

Cool. My MA spoils me and my other half, I guess. So I have little tolerance for less than good service. And I figure for the money of mine they have, I should expect it.
Either that, or I'm sure a butthole.

Ha! One of my defense mechanisms is to get apathetic. It can appear as maturity to some. Don't be fooled!
Does anyone know how long it takes to get booked on a ship out of Bremerhaven? Ask Mini said it was en route on Friday, June 7 and it still says that. I have to believe it is really already there (unless they do it by rail, in which case I am screwed). Just wondering how long some of you waited for a CM before it got loaded. I really want it to be on the boat by Friday, and it is already Tuesday 2am in Germany.

The ship my mini is on started its journey in Bremerhaven before going on to southhampton, then onto baltimore.
Mine was on the Dock in Bremerhaven for almost 2 weeks. It can take a while in the Awaiting Transport stage. If yours says En Route, that should mean it's already on the boat?
Thanks. No, it says en route to the port on the Ask Mini number. The phone is way more detailed than the website. If it misses the Friday boat, stuck for 2 more weeks waiting for the June 29th boat. They seem to only ship every two weeks. That would suck big time.
My car is currently on the Mignon heading to New York but when I called ask mini the guy didn't see that. When I went to the shipping website it said it loaded onto the vessel. How long does it take for the ask mini people to change or learn of the new status?
There seems to be a delay in some updating through ask mini or the mini lounge for that matter... When was your car loaded on the Mignon? Is it currently sailing?
I would give it a few days to update.. Ive heard from some that they didn't get any updates till it arrived in port of its destination..which in your case would be NY..lol... Im waiting to be loaded right now..and I already see a big delay in any updates..But then again it could just be im waiting for a spot on a ship..
No worries...I may have not been much help but I think we are all in this waiting game and the grey area where mini usa is not in control of whats going on at this point.. I just want my MINI
Well damn. Despite the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website saying I was booked on the Endurance, my status is now showing RETURNED TO SHIPPER.
It looks like my Clubman will be spending a few more days in the UK.

Bummer. Your post made me super nervous so I checked again this AM and I guess I'm still on board, or the site hasn't updated.

I wonder when the next boat leaves...
The Parsifal leaves Southampton on the 18th of June, with an arrival date of the 27th of June.
After that is the Integrity, which sails from southampton on the 21st of June.
I may have answered my own question. Wallenius Wilhelmsen has several vehicle carrier cargo ships leaving Southampton over the next few weeks. Assuming the route would still be Southampton to Baltimore, these are the next vehicle carrier cargo ships taking that route...
Parsifal (IMO: 9515395) - Leaves Southampton on June 18th, and arrives in Baltimore on June 27th. Voyage CF324-PSF.
Integrity (IMO: 8919934) - Leaves Southampton on June 21st, and arrives in Baltimore on July 13th. Voyage CB315-ITG.
Tarago (IMO: 9191321) - Leaves Southampton on June 24th, and arrives in Baltimore on July 2nd. Voyage: CF325-TGO
After the Tarago, there are no vehicle carrier cargo ships leaving until July. If the route is different, eg. Southampton to Charleston, or Southampton to NYC, then I have no idea. I didn't get enough sleep last night, and if I'm honest, I'm proud of myself for figuring out those schedules before I've even really gotten into my morning coffee.

Pretty sure she will never see Southampton.
