I do not remember the wait being this hard last time. It was back in 2004, and the car was more of the wife's so I guess that has something to do with it. Still. Driving me nuts waiting at the port. MINI USA has zero info, the Fidelio is a day late to Southhampton AND I'm not even sure I make that boat. Other then that I am totally not going nuts.

Nice to hear that a few of you are getting closer tho! Please come back and post pics. Makes the wait a little easier.

CR, I think the red looked great, but if you still think it was a little pink in that light and want to post MORE pictures I'm ok with it.

 

Uh-oh, I sense tears coming on. I guess we'll have to add "Bye-bye, old MINI" hankies to the new accessories list.

Went to the O's game last night and my wife asked me if I was sad to be so close to my MINI (still at the VDC) yet so far away...Very depressing. Hopefully today I get word that it's made it to the dealer (an early morning email to my MA it as of yet unanswered).

Good News (possibly?)! MINI Motoring Graphics believes they have discovered the proper code for my green mirrors! I've ordered a sample (and a shade lighter and darker) and hope to have it before I pick up the car.

After nearly 2 months of waiting, I FINALLY took delivery of my 2013 MINI Countryman S ALL4. I've had it now for 6 days and am LOVING it!

And hey, two months is nothing. There was a time not that long ago the average wait for a MINI was more like 4-5 months.

I think all that Spa meant was you should call Atlanta's dealership and get the paint code for their door frame. Bingo... problem solved. That is a pretty close match to your mirror colors, right ? Going to look darn good !

 

Oh...my bad, if that was the intent. It looks close to the correct color, but I'm going to hope that MMG is on the right track. From what I was told, they got the code from a dealer in NJ (Mt Laurel, I think).

 

Given you also went with the samples one shade on each side of that color, you're going to be fine with one of the three. Make sure you check the swatches in several kinds of lighting, too... direct, indirect, shade, partial shade.

After all, life doesn't have many bigger decisions than this one !

 

My car is currently awaiting release to the carrier I'll be flying out to California again for work the 8th. I won't be back till late October! My brother will enjoy my Mini for me!
