Things I'm doing to stave off the madness:
-buying accessories for the car I have yet to have in my possession
-shopping/research for extended warranties to consider for the day I walk into F&I room
-buying a toy replica of my cooper in hopes that it arrives first
If it's a 1:43 scale, that means it'll cure 1/43rd of my illness, right?
It's looking like Dover has a shot at making the ANIARA leaving from Southhampton for Baltimore on Halloween arriving on Nov 9th well after Sandy is just a memory. Anyone else think they might be on this ship?
*hand up* Me too! Lightning blue hardtop traveling on Figaro. The wait is kiiiiilling me. Glad to discover others have the same sickness. It wasn't so bad before, but now that it's due in port THIS WEEK, I can't stand it.

On Sunday morning our chilli red Knightsbridge was loaded on the ship Aida and started the trip across the Atlantic. It's scheduled to arrive in Halifax November 5! Now owning a new mini is looking like more of a reality. Anybody else have a car on Aida?

The anthracite wheels are nice, but with your stripes/mirrors/roof, I would probably prefer the black version of those wheels (if there is one)
Edit: Unless you weren't looking for an opinion...then disregard

@ amancuso: I agree with Denzien about the wheels, but it's also just my opinion. I built a MC online with your color specs and played around with the wheel options. You might want to consider: 17" x 7.0" alloy wheels in our MINI Yours Twin Spoke design. Equipped with 205/45 R17 performance runflat tires.

I have yet to buy an accessory but I am interested in a few. The after market oil dip stick, import red and white tail lights, and the chrome boot handle.

I'm in the San Fernando valley, which means I could probably go watch the Figaro dock, if I wanted to. It makes me crazier that it might take upwards of a week for my dealer to hand it off to me though. What's your wait time from docking till delivery?

Good to know! I'm on the Figaro arriving on the 31st as well. I bought mine at MINI of Marin (even though I live in SF). I have a weekend trip on the 9th and was hoping to get it all good and dirty up in Mendocino. It'll be tight!
I haven't called the dealership and they haven't contacted me at all this whole time. Don't think I would heave even gotten the production # if I hadn't bothered him. If not for this site I wouldn't have even known that I could track the MINI.
The only things I've talked to my MA for was to get my production number (he sent it to me without my asking), the ship name I was on and my scheduled delivery date (tomorrow). Everything else I pretty much did on my own. And it was fun!
According to Robo-voice, Dover is at the port while marinetraffic.com says the Aniara is in Southampton loading cars before heading for Baltimore.
Hopefully these two will hook up and Dover will come on over.

So, from the comments here and my own experience, I've determined that the Ask Mini robot says "At the port awaiting a shipping vessel" when the car has cleared the VDC and is waiting for a car carrier at the port in the U.S. When it's on the car carrier, it again says,"In Transit" meaning that it's in transit to your dealer.
