Mini + my fav hobby = great video :)

I just came across this video and thought it was great. (The video is old, but new to me.) It combines 2 of my fav things; My mini cooper and my favorite hobby, racing r/c cars! Anyways, I thought it was a very funny video especially since I am an new MCS owner.

She squashed it!! What a sore loser. Neat video, though, thank you for sharing.

I assume that was planned it was an R/C double and they took out the stuff in the inside. Otherwise she broke about a $1000 toy car. Fun hobby but not the type of cars you get at radio shack.

Just another fun video and FYI: There is even a Mini Cooper class for R/C racing! This is more of a entry level r/c racing class so it costs less and not as fast but still fun! Check out this video to see some mini cooper r/c racing! I just ordered one of these because of my real mini purchase. When I get it I will post some pictures of it.

Cool! I'll watch it tomorrow, it's time to hit the sack. :-) My son has had R/C cars for years, he still loves them... Nitro and electric too... but never a Cooper. I have two R/C tanks. First thing I did when I got my first one, was to shoot my sister in law in the leg. (ping! Just a little plastic ball. Totally a crackup) Have you seen those gigantic tanks that they build? Have to use a ramp to get them up into their cars... mine are just out of the box Tamiya, though one has after market metal bits and bobs, and metal treads.

Thank you again for sharing, that's a lot of fun,

Joanie

The TCS in the video stands for "Tamiya Championship Series." So the mini coopers in the video are Tamiya. :P I have not seen the big tanks. I will see what youtube has to offer on RC tank videos just to check them out.

LOL I'm sure Fifth Gear can afford it. But I wouldn't be surprised if they put a shell on wheels down just for the shot. Vickie and the crew is very popular in Europe. My favorite host in that show though is Tiff Needles. Very entertaining to watch.

Cool! Reminds me of the "Visible Man" hobby kits from the 60's and 70's. The "Visible Cooper"...

Nice side mirrors. :-)

Post progress!!

All done. The Racing Green paint was a bit brighter then the car, but there was no sun out either.
