Another Newbie, from FL

Hi all,
Found my Mini 2 days before Christmas, Sept Build 06 Mini S auto with 45600 on the dial. All Pepper White with I believe a premium pkg in a dark gray, with the 17s, Auto air, Harmon Kardon etc. Super shape, paint is cherry and the interior too. We have 3 good Indy shops (all work on BMW, Mini, Mercedes, Jags etc) around where I live and 2 drove it and said as far as they could tell it was A OK. They third shop didn't have time to drive it but he inspected it and listened to it and said "go for it" They all did say to try to get an extended warranty on it, just in case. Well, we do know they "can" have issues.

Where do I go for that? I need something that will allow Indy shops and the dealer to work on it. The dealer is near my work but hard to get to with my schedule. Help please.

It's a blast and I want to treat it right and hopefully it will treat me right. Any suggestions on what it might need at this mileage? Preventative or other wise. It's already had 3 baths, Pepper White was not my first choice as a color, but it had what I wanted on it and man it cleaned up nice.

Tracy, pepper white is a GREAT color and I can certainly understand why you're thrilled to own a mini S. Enjoy!

Another welcome to NAM.
If it doesn't already have one, get one...BSH oil catch can and boost tap for the passenger side. Check on the boost tap, my 07 had to have it with the OCC but an 06 may not.
Call or email Way at www.waymotorworks.com, he can tell you what you'd need for an 06.

Thanks , really have gotten to love the color. Do I need to earn my way into the Pepper White Owners Club?

It's a change for me coming from a Tornado Red Beetle with a black and red interior. PW with a Gray interior is kind of soothing. This is the car I wanted when I got the Beetle, except then I didn't have a hitch in my git-a-long and could drive the stick. The paddles are cool though.

Gotta figure out the posting pix thing, just haven't have time to do it, gotta take some more pix.

When I bought my car recently through my local credit union they offered me an extended warranty. You can use Google also to see what you can find.
