hornscraper noob intro 2005 R53 mini
Hello All,
I am on my 3rd mini. I have owned a stock 2002 mini cooper S and the HELIX electric blue test mule, which I put around 40,000 miles on, with no problems except your occasional police stoppage. After a delusional binge of buying a 2009 Nissan 370z, 1985 Toyota MR2, and 2004 Mazda RX8; I am back to the real world and in another R53 mini cooper S. This one is dark sliver 2005. I have attached a few pictures of the hornscraper build process. So far my friends at Helix have replaced, a worn motor mount and control arm bushings, I also had them install a set of H&R coilovers since the car was suffering from some major wheel gap. While the car was being worked on I decided to have Curtis throw on a 17% pulley to help the supercharger build up some boost. Now I just need some wheels. Check out my super custom plate mount.

Is that roof wrapped or rust? Those wheels look like they have stocking nylon wrapped around them. Is this a new trend? I remember one guy did that to his headlights, much to the delight and ridicule of NAMmers.
welcome back.
Cheers,
Charlie
