Greetings all. Just stumbled onto a really nice little car a few weeks ago, and now its time to get all the way into the community. Went to look at what was advertised as a white Cooper S and found instead...

...a one-owner, 34k miles, Dinan S, pepper white, black top. (Pics to come... I know, I know.) No accidents, no track time, woman driver and in outstanding shape. Got it as a bookend to my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser which rules the other part of my heart.

There was a Mini cooper s dignified as a "Dinan" made? If so thats sweet! I thought they just made aftermarket parts.

 

Havent found the single authoritative source on it. Google tells me that Dinan was involved in equipping and badging some S's (sold thru BMW dealer network) from 04-06, I believe. From the paperwork (and confirmed thru dealer), mine was one of these. I'd love to know how many of those there were.

Your S qualifies for a Dinan badge with enough Dinan parts added to it, fwiw.

I need to find a knowledgable person on dealer-side that might know more, and I think Dinan might be the real authority; I have a note into them asking for more clarity on the scope of their collaboration.
