The waiting is the hardest part...

Hey all!

So I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new baby... a 2012 MCS hardtop, Laser Blue with black roof, black bonnet stripes, black wheels and headlights. I put down my deposit on 7/23/11...now I get to play the waiting game until the end of September

I don't know how I am going to manage...

Hi RallyCat. Hang in there. I put in my order for a 2012 MC hardtop on July 17. I feel your pain— the waiting is killing me! Let's support one another and get through these trying times together! In a few months we'll be motoring along in no time! What town do you live in?

Haha, mrluckypa, I know the feeling...it took me about 7 months to pull the trigger once I finally got serious about it.

Hi, Blk Diamond- support group it is ) Hello, my name is RallyCat, and I am going through MINI withdrawal (wait- can you go through withdrawal before actually having the car?) I am in Holland, PA- how about you?

Not sure what i am going to do... Mine doesnt start getting built until November! I'm just looking at winter wheels but dunno what else to do to pass the time. Once summer is over I expect the wait to get much worse...

I am right there with you walk, nothing until November for build slot! I started buying a few mods to tie me over. This waiting is horrible. I keep waiting for my MA to call or email me with some good news.

It sure is! I live in Rhode Island. This gives me at least 4-6 weeks to learn to drive a stick. Crazy, maybe but I really wanted a manual.

There are no build slots for JCW hardtop and cabrios until November due to a delay having to do with the aero kit being standardized on JCW models. So it's a long wait for those of us who want the JCW awesomeness!

I need to practice driving a manual too. It's been over seven years since I've driven a stick; I'm a little nervous about it... But I don't want my husband to drive my new MINI home for me NO WAY! She's my baby!!!! My MA said that she would drop the car off about 35 min. from where I live so that I won't have to drive to L.A. which is nice but still. None of my friends own a car that has a manual transmission. I'll have to rent a car with a stick and practice a few times.

Driving a stick would be fun for me but, due to a bad car accident, the least I use my upper back the less pain I have to deal with. Mini is one of the few cars out there that gives me no back pain. So it's auto for me.
