If it's helpful to anyone awaiting delivery, just got confirmation from my MA that I do qualify for the NOT SO NORMAL EVENT. My car arrived into port last week on the TOPEKA.

 

How do you register for the event?

 

Go to miniusa.com and click on the event (it's one of the pages that rotates on the home screen). Look for your dealer - or any dealer actually - where you can go and then you click on that dealer. Each date is different depending on dealer. Mine is this weekend (sat) and then I just confirmed I'll take delivery on the 17th.

Ok I signed up online and within 15 min got a call from my dealership.
I also started stalking my dealership looking for my Countryman, it should be there soon from the VDC.

 

Any idea how long car will stay at VDC? I just sent my MA to request for status update, keep my fingers crossed!!! I hope will get late this week or early next week delivery :impat ient:

 

MA said it's still at VDC at this moment...the wait is killing me

 

My MA just called me and told me my Countryman is on a truck on its way here. It was unloaded on the 9th and went through customs and the VDC in about 2 days.

Delivery is scheduled for Saturday at 1pm.

 

j/k. Rude, your baby is sick. Like the all black. Pre-grats to flyingpig and TPA. My countryman all4 had finished production on Oct 1st and it's still sitting around waiting for transport. Was hoping to have it by the first week of Nov. but I don't think that's gonna happen. Hopefully by mid November...at least before it starts snowing so I can enjoy how she looks before the ever present covering of snow is around. Anyway, post pics TPA and flying and have fun when ya get your babies^^

So I registered for my dealer's Not Normal event on the off chance that my car takes two weeks to get to the dealer after landing at Port Hueneme. I got a call from my MA and I told him that I'd attend if my car wasn't in by then. He then told me he'd call me on Wednesday with an update. I must be impatient...Wednesday?!?

 

She has arrived at the dealership today!

Well, went to the dealer today for the NOT NORMAL event and my car wasn't even there. They said they expected it on Monday. I was supposed to take delivery on Wednesday, but now they're saying that it may be not ready by then. I can't take delivery of it after Wednesday of this week, so it may not be until next week that I get my hands on it.

 

That was disappointing.

Went to the dealership and checked her out. For now, it's okay that she's at the dealership. Will be waiting for a few more days before I can finally take her home. :-(

So car still not delivered HOWEVER when checked OL, it has finally updated to at distribution center and I do see Estimated Delivery Date from Review Order Detail page. Anyone knows if it's the date expecting to leave VDC or deliver to dealer? Still no words from MA yet

My MA said mine won't be ready till this weekend and our MINI's were on the same boat, Antares Leader. It's fine with me since I was able to attend another dealers Not Normal Sales Event and get a $750 voucher. He told me to bring it when I pick up the car this weekend.
OL says enroute. ASK-MINI says "at port waiting a shipping vessel".

 

That makes me feel better. My car was on the Antares as well and I was starting to get paranoid about whether something nasty was being fixed at the VDC. If mine takes a bit longer than yours, I'll have my Not Normal coupon when I take delivery. My dealer's NN event is on Saturday.

Does anyone on the Antares Leader show any status other than "En Route" in the OL?
