That's the last thing mine said from WW, so I'd think its off the boat now. The OL should update in a day or two. The ASK-MINI robot never updated to anything past "in transit" for me.

Still don't have it quite yet. We ended up moving our Fri appointment to Thurs. So shortly after 2:30 pm tomorrow I should have it. I'll be sure and get some pics up!

OK... so a few changes happened while I was asleep...

The Toronto moved from a port in NY to one in NJ.. and the WW website was updated as follows:

DELIVERED FROM NEW YORK, NY 27-09-2012 08:00:00 1
DISCHARGED NEW YORK, NY 26-09-2012 13:00:00 1
LINER RELEASE NEW YORK, NY 26-09-2012 09:31:38
CUSTOMS RELEASE NEW YORK, NY 26-09-2012 00:00:00
LOADED ON VESSEL BREMERHAVEN 14-09-2012 12:23:00 1
RECEIVED AT TERMINAL BREMERHAVEN 13-09-2012 21:30:00 1
BOOKED BREMEN 11-09-2012 11:10:57 1

So I guess the car is finally off the boat...
I did manage to get hold of my MA yesterday over the phone, but their system was down and was unable to provide any updates. Will just have to be patient a little bit longer... but shouldn't be too long now....

Same here : I am assuming that does not mean that its been thru the VDC but that WWL considers it off the ship and in someone else possession?????

Thanks. I wasn't sure about the 'trident stripe' at first, but it grew on me. Now I love it. Can't wait to drive this thing a little more over the weekend!

After driving this thing around a little on some errands this morning, I do have to say that I think I got the perfect car for our needs. (Looks cool, drives fun, seats 4 comfortably when needed).

I'm also glad I went through with the custom order process and the wait. I spent a lot of that time wondering if the wait was really worth it, but now that it's here and has exactly the options we wanted and none of the ones we didn't I know we did the right thing. Especially since this was actually the cheapest option, as everything on the lot or coming in soon had options we didn't want!

I'm really enjoying the USB stick music access. I had an 8GB flash drive at work just sitting on my desk and I took it home and copied just about everything that I have in my library that would be likely to be listened to in a car. I may look into getting something a little bigger so I can just copy my whole iTunes library and just resync it every once in a while. I may end up using the actual iPhone connection a lot less than I expected.

Taking the car to it's first soccer game out in Jersey tonight (I'm a Red Bulls season ticket holder, one of the reasons for this purchase is to get to games more easily) so it should be a good night out!

Did you get mini connected/Nav or are you using a stock USB drive? Didn't go with mini connected and go back and forth - some days I find myself kicking myself and others, well, not.

We didn't get connected. We like the look better without it, and it's expensive for what it is. We also knew we didn't want an in-car nav, because they always suck and cost far more than anything else on the market.

We ordered the car without Bluetooth (and thus the USB port). A large part of deciding to amend the order was the fact that the buttons would be on the steering wheel anyway. Also having the USB charging port would avoid me potentially trying to add one myself.

I do find it funny that I'm a techie guy (and IT manager) and my wife is a tech journalist, and we have very few of the 'tech' options in the car. Neither of us has had a new car before, or even owned any car for 15 years so we are potentially easy to please. We're also not using it for day-to-day commuting, so it won't be a part of daily life and it's easier to live without some of the amenities that people with a long driving commute would want.

I agree - I like the look of the analog display. Years ago when I thought of buying a cooper, and Nav was relatively new, I thought the Nav look ruined it. Now I think it's better incorporated but still like the analog look better. Plus, no touchscreen. For scrolling through playlists in my Prius, I do find the playlists helpful on screen rather than having to wait to look at my pine when I'm stopped.

I did get Bluetooth for hands free. WillIk still get the USB port? I actually love that idea since I have kids. I could have one with kids songs in te car an then another for my songs. My iPhone is overloaded and since I'm usin iTunes in the cloud anyway, I'm sucking data. Might be a win win win for all involved.

I'd suspect around Tuesday or Wednesday it'll show up again as it approaches Panama.

It's in the panama canal now. Google Antares Leader and I think it's the 1st or second link that will have a map.
