You can track Winston when he's in transit from the VDC as long as you can find out from your MA what truck line they use. You would just need to go to that lines website and check the cargo similar to tracking the ship.

Thanks for the info pmknhd! Looks like I'll have to give my MA a call tomorrow to find out what truck line. I think I've seen Waggonner truck line near the MINI and BMW dealerships. last I heard, my delivery is expected anywhere between 7/5 and 7/12

I know all to well that waiting is a drag but when Winston comes home time will fly.
There will be no more counting days, hours, and minutes. It will only be waiting until you can get back in Winston and drive. Trust me, I've been coming up with any excuse that I can to take a ride.

Almost home!!

Got word yesterday that my 2012 ice blue convertible S is on American soil. Ordered May 16th. She came over on the Florida Highway. left the UK Sunday June 17th and made it yesterday to Burnswick Ga. Now I sit and wait, not so patiently for the little girl to make it to upstate SC to me!! Hopefully I will be motoring next week with the top down and tunes blaring! Temp here this weekend suppose to be 104, maybe it will cool off for evening drives anyway.

Tammy

How did I not know about the disco lights?

Just a quick reply...because I can't wait to go motor!
I finally got my MINI yesterday, , and it is amazing! I started my quest for a MINI 2 years ago. I test drove the Countryman when it came out and then decided I would wait a year for the bench seat to come to America. That next year, the time just wasn't right to get a MINI. I visited the dealer when they had events, I made multiple configurations online and I deliberated the colors forever. Finally, on my birthday this year, all decisions were made and the order was finally placed! I have basically been waiting for my Countryman (and first MINI) since 2010, but these last 8 weeks have taken soooooo long! When I drove my MINI home yesterday, it was like nothing in the world mattered. Who cares if it took that long, who cares if I was on K-Line and couldn't watch the ship voyage across the sea, who cares if I didn't have the exact time and date that my MINI was painted. It was like her motor started and she said "it's all good now....I'm here."
Those of you waiting....have fun tracking your MINI, but don't get so stressed or upset when you can't get every exact date and location when you want it. It's not worth the worry or stress. I think being able to stalk our MINIs is just one of the many quirks about MINI that I love! This forum has been fun and full of great info too! I'm glad to finally be a member of the MINI family and I'm ready to sign off the "those waiting for a 2012 support group" thread.
My hubby, who never took a test drive with me the past 2 years, practically begged to take my MINI for a spin yesterday and then took it out again with the guys. This morning he wanted to take it to work to show his co-workers!!! Last night, I took my 8 year old son and his friend to Sonic for a slush and they agreed that "mom has the best car ever!" I think night driving will be my favorite! I didn't realize my Countryman would have mood lighting inside! Disco lights....so awesome!!!
I gotta spend some more time with my MINI to determine the name....just can't decide. Hopefully it won't take 2 years!
Hope to see some of you on another thread sometime!!!

I know i'll feel like that, but Winston is not my daily driver and he (hopefully) won't see rain and definitely won't see snow. It's going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng winter

Tombarra has departed sunny CA and is headed up to Tacoma. All you Pacific Northwest stalkers can look forward to July 2nd.

My Countryman is still sitting at the VDC in Port Hueneme. I'm hoping it gets trucked out today or tommorow.

I just heard from my MA... he said that Winston has passed his inspections at the VDC and is awaiting a truck. He expects Winston to be picked up today and then 3 days trip to Colorado!

Getting a little anxious, yes?
Can't sit further back then at the edge of your seat?
Little Winston will be delivered by the 18 wheeled stork in no time at all!!!
Congrats on a great update, did you find out what truck line he'll be riding in on??

Interesting...the status on the WW tracking site now states - "Liner Release - Port Hueneme - 6-28-12". Not sure what that means...but at least it's an update.

I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but for those who expecting your Mini to arrive at Port Hueneme, here is a link to the incoming Vessel Schedule to the harbor. The Taipan isn't listed yet, but they say it is updated daily.

I had to keep checking back on this thread until you got your MINI, since we were on the same ship. Yep, I'm officially signing off too. I've been joining some discussions on modifications and such.

About the mood lighting... It's such a silly thing, but I still love it. I thought my husband would make fun of it, but he actually requested green mood lighting the other night. It was hilarious!

...still have to change my signature...
