"Those Waiting for a 2012" Support Group
I saw it!!!!
My group run this morning finished half a mile from the dealership. They don't store much at the actual dealership, so I drove down the hill to their secured lot. I left the camera in the car, cause the fence was closed. But thanks to the 10 mile run I had just completed, I squeezed right through.
I had just enough time to find my Countryman and check it out before the lot attendants caught me and kicked me out.
Who knew they'd be washing cars on a Sunday when the dealership is closed?
The good thing is, it looks perfect! Sometimes during that long wait, you worry about the choices you made. Any doubts I had were put to rest the second I saw it!

Min arrived at the port sometime in the middle of the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, and arrived at the dealership Friday evening. So really could have only spent two days between port and VDC and lucked out with a truck.
Add my name to the list of excited owners....my MA told me that it will between 3 & 7 days from the time my MINI arrives at the VDC...I'm thinking that I will get the car this Friday or Saturday. It's a bit easier for me not to obsess about it because I'm traveling for business this week...so I'll get 'Sedona' when I get home

So I talked to my MA - he said that it is 2 days truck time between VDC and Portland...
and since I was one of the last on the boat I should be one of the first off (maybe )
- so just depends how fast they get the goodies installed at the port.... I guess I could have my little girl the first of next week .... sweet
but Im still going for the first week of August ...
It was kinda funny I stopped by the dealer to see if I could hear the JCW tune and exhaust on an MCS... they had a few that hey just received off the truck that had not been prep'd yet ... I looked at the boot and saw MCS JCW....then as we were standing in the front there was something different ... something just wasn't right... I thought for a minute it was a countryman - it was too tall - my MA laughed and yea they still have the spacers in the suspension for a little extra ground clearance on and off the boat - never noticed that before...

No the impatient waiting begins... and at least they are getting to the VDC on Sunday rather than on a Friday....
Ok moving from the beer and
to shots of Patrone salt and lime

Skyrider arrives tomorrow on the Tirranna! My dealership is less than 20 miles from the port, so hopefully I'll have him this week.
Only problem is with getting rid of my current car. I'm planning on going to CarMax this week to get a price and then seeing what the dealer will pay as a trade-in, but regardless, I will be selling it to one of the two. So I went to the safe deposit box to get the title--only to find out that what I thought was the title was the official paper that I'd paid off the loan. I have no clue where the title is! So I paid $20 online Friday afternoon to have a duplicate copy of the title sent--but it could take 10 business days to get here! So I'm going to be in a holding pattern.

I didn't think about it from that standpoint...but it's still total BS that some dealers do it and some don't. And it shouldn't matter whether you're finacing or paying cash. You guys both paid WAAAYYY more for your cars than I did for mine, so your MA's are getting WAAAYYY more in commission. The least they could do is show their appreciation with a little swag.

The insult is the MA's acting like they know nothing about it.
Hmmm, the Taipan has left the port but the tracking on the WW site does not yet show Pippa was offloaded.
While I would love to pick her up on in Tacoma, I hope they she is busy being processed at the VDC instead.
Has anyone else's status been updated on the WW Track and Track?
