Yay! I contacted my MA to let him know that Skyrider landed in Baltimore yesterday. He said I can come by tomorrow or Thursday! Now I have to rearrange tomorrow's schedule if I can to get to the dealership!

My MA said the combination was "unusual" since all of his Royal Gray buyers wanted the black roof. But now he agrees (after seeing his first) that it looks good, even with the anthracite wheels. I feel that white roof is rooted in the MINI tradition and is best suited for my local climate.

My co-workers say the color is best described as "muddy gray."

 

Hmmmm.....mine is still saying 'Delivered'.....I wonder if that's not a good sign for Sedona?

As someone else who just ordered a white roof MINI, and I share the sunny SoCal climate with you, hence the white roof - I absolutely love the grey/white combo. I went out to a SCMM event in June (right after I ordered) and saw a couple of Countryman's and even as I'm totally excited for my Justa this week, I can almost see myself in a Countryman at some point - and depending on what's available at that time, I might just shamelessly steal your color combo ideas!

 

CONGRATS

 

I was at my local Honda dealership with my other car the other day (MINI is directly next door to Honda) and as I was passing by MINI, I saw a truck unloading new MINI's. I thought to myself, "someone loves these cars very much!" CONGRATS! Can't wait to see pics!

 

So exiciting! I just heard my my MA and he said Pippa is scheduled to hitch her ride up north in about 15 minutes. She should arrive on Saturday so I hope I can get her on Sunday or Monday. Thank goodness I still have a lot to do (finish cleaning the garage and prep my current car for possible trade in) to keep me busy.

Any other Mini's heading to OR or WA on the same truck?

 

Born On Dates?

I was on vacation when my MINI actually went thru production, so I totally missed the date that she was released for shipping. Is there anyway for me to find that out, so that I know her actual birthday? I feel like I should be able to find that in the Owner's Lounge really easily, and thus far, no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would like to be - my MA is off today so I should hear tomorrow... I seriously doubt it cause I have JCW goodies to be installed at the VDC so unless they were quick (which they should be) I'm probably on a later bus

 

That's what you get by getting "all fancy." Kidding of course. I have no doubt it will be well worth the wait.

 

Good idea....should have thought of that myself! So I did, and they told me June 13th...just happy that was not a Friday. Here's hoping that Wednesday production cars are well put together! Should get 'Sedona' this weekend if all goes according to plan!

 

Congrats on your new arrival. You happen to get yours at MINI of Ontario? I am close by at Fontana, CA and that's where I got mine. Mine should arrive on the 27th at Port H according to schedule. So see you on the road!

 

I did indeed! I should be spending some time at MOO this weekend picking her up. My next job will be to join SCMM I think, so that I can meet some more people who are crazy about cars as I am. Enjoy the while you wait - it won't be too long now!
