Also, yes, the wife made them give that to her and I made them give me rubber mats. They only gave me the front and back seat mats though.
and congrats to deejay. Glad this terrible experience is over for you. Just curious, did you get Purrl from the same dealership you ordered Hawkling from or a different one? If I were you, I don't know if I can give them my business again for not being more helpful tracking down Hawkling. I usually don't hold grudges, but it is a MINI we are talking about here!!

That sucks. Make sure there's no "D" that shows up on the MA's tracking screen.

Hey....do you know anything about a MINI goody bag that comes in the mail after you purchase a MINI? I saw a thread about that somewhere?????
As for goodies that the dealership gave me... I think I was spoiled.
I got a metal MINI keychain, T-shirt, and then... somehow, the dealership ended up gifting me roof rails, bike racks, and ski racks. I know they were not included in my financing. It was my birthday though.. and I was a pain in that dealership's **** the entire two months waiting for Pini to be delivered.
Oh man... The MINI Goodie bag that is mailed a few weeks after delivery is amaze-*****. Mine came with several pamphlets about the car.. 100 Rules of driving a MINI (with one rule requiring that you always park Bonnet out), an attenna ball, metal writing pen, journal, mouse pad, picture book, and a MINI bag-pack that you can throw on your back. Pretty wicked.

Wow, I can understand the keychain and T-shirts, but roof rails and racks?

To prove you are truly worthy of being known as a "true stalker" in this thread, you must abide by the following:
1. stalk incessively
2. not be able to sleep at night
3. drive your other half (if applicable) crazy by constantly talking about stalking the ship
4. call "ask mini" several times per day (sometimes for no reason)
5. post a photo of the ship going through the panama canal on this thread
1. stalk incessively
2. not be able to sleep at night

1. stalk incessively CHECK!
2. not be able to sleep at night CHECK!
3. drive your other half (if applicable) crazy by constantly talking about stalking the ship CHECK (bonus check for including friends and co-workers)
4. call "ask mini" several times per day (sometimes for no reason) - Haven't called as often since she was loaded on to the Taipan because there haven't been any updates. But I do have it programmed into my phone.
5. post a photo of the ship going through the panama canal on this thread. HALF CHECK -Way to hit a nerve! I tried and right as it was about be in view of the Centennial Bridge the webcams went out. Still stalked the boat as it went through but the webcams didn't go back on until right after it passed through the canal. Trust me, it take a long time to go through that damn canal.
I am pretty sure it I am an official Mini Stalker. I accept it and am proud.
You guys should've seen me when I was waiting for Pini..
This was my DAILY ROUTINE:
1) Get up. Check OL for updates. Nothing? Ok.. Call Ask Mini.
2) Research Shipping Routes
3) Research and locate all available Port web cameras in Europe along estimated route.
4) Call Ask Mini again.
5) Check OL again.. No Updates.
6) Check Vessel Routes and Port Updates.
7) Try to Go to sleep.
I drove my girl friend insane. In fact, she actually stopped talking with me, if I started a conversation.
I have paid subscriptions to Vessel Tracker (http://www.vesseltracker.com) and signed up as a shipper for WW so that I could get real track tracking updates for each of their ships.
Downloaded the VesselTracking iPhone App.. so that I could look up any vessel.
And all of the above was BEFORE Pini even got off the production line. I was able to figure out which ship (MANON) Pini was going to be on, before Ask Mini even knew.
My MA said I was probably one of the most **** "stalkers" they've ever had.
Once Pini arrived at the VDC, we had an extra long wait there because Customs didn't have the updated 2012 EPA information, so they wouldn't release her from the port. Also, calling the VDC.. be very nice... they'll be helpful. (Also, the VDC's main number, at least the NYNJ VDC, is unpublished, I had to go through some hoops).
With the help of my MA, I found out the trucking company, called them, was able to locate the exact truck that was on it.. and then was able to stalk it to the dealership.
Needless to say... it was a crazy two 1/2 months.

I was told the other day that I need to stop treating Winston like a child
As far as the child part, even my friends are referring to the garage as the "nursery" Hmmm, I wonder if I can pull off a baby shower - can I register at Mini?

Don't worry, I know where you are going and hope to be there in 2 weeks. Just try to hide... muhahahahah!
