Thanks, but unfortunately it's my daughter's. It came in the day she left on deployment and she's coming home tonight, so she hasn't seen it yet. We only put 1,400 miles on it as I want it to be like new for her. It is a REALLY nice car.
Gotta laugh. The Owner's Lounge just changed to "At Distribution Center". The MINIUSA Automated number changed from "In Transit" to "Vehicle is at the Port Awaiting a shipping vessel".

Exact same thing happened to me. Luckily OL was correct.
Update on the Asian Vision... It has departed Port Hueneme. And I assume it's heading to Washington? Either way, it means our cars are unloaded!

Good choice in wheels, can't wait to see my own bullets. Congrats.
Thanks, everyone! I haven't had a chance to come back onto the forum bc I've been driving the hell out of the car! It's just too much fun. hope everyone has received their MINI's and are doing well!
She is there Now and hopefully unloading fast The wait is getting worse...Keep repeating, "almost done, almost done, almost done"...though if you are saying while rocking back and forth then it gets awkward.
I thought we both agreed that you did not need anymore popcorn!!!
What are they saying about your MINI??? Today... or early next week?
Here's the scoop: As of the end of business Saturday I had no news. I called and talked to the sales manager and he in turn talked to my MA who in turn called me back. My biggest issue was that my 2001 Jeep Wrangler is due to roll over 100,000 and I have not been driving it to be sure that it didn't go over. I'm disabled and don't go out much so this hasn't been a problem. Now that it's taking so long something needed to be said as I feel like I'm a hostage to something I don't have. I was assured that the Aero Kit and Pumpkinhead are in the body shop getting the AK painted and it will be installed by Monday or Tuesday as will as the Strut Tower Brace (fingers crossed). I can drive my Jeep as normal and the milage will not count against the trade in. I'm practically giving that to them as it is. So a long story short, I should have Pumpkinhead home by Tuesday but I'm not holding my breath.
How much longer do you have to wait? I debated pretty much up to the day I placed my order over Chili Red vs. Spice Orange. In the end it came down to the interior options and the fact that I've driven a red & black car for the last 12 years. But I love the color combination you came up with and can't wait to see it in it's final form.
Thanks NinjaTurtle, I should have it by Tuesday. On your Chili Red and Black, why fix what isn't broke, right. Black and red or black and orange are both made for each other! I do like the black and blue's also as long as their not on me!

Thanks for stopping back to say hello eddyjoe! How many miles have you put on so far? Be gentle, I'm still waiting on mine.

Let me get this straight, while your daughter is on deployment, to make sure HER car stays new, you went gallivanting around to the tune of 1,400 miles? I know, you were just getting it through the break in period for her.
As a veteran myself I thank her for her service!!!
My girl got an email from her MA just letting her know that the car had arrived at Port (she already knew) and that he would let her know when it will arrive in a couple of days.

Punkin is on the Dover Highway, scheduled for the Brunswick docks on D-Day (June 6). Anybody else on Dover? If Brunswick weren't so far from Atlanta, we'd hop in Flipper to see if we could see them off-load Punkin from the boat...
Assuming two days in the VDC and 1 day on the truck to Global Imports and 1 day prep at Global, might put Punkin in the garage next to Flipper on 6/11. More realistic estimate though is 13-June.
Congrats to all those who are enjoying their cars (2Miniacs and fatboy97, "y'alls" Lightning Blues look great)!

PMKNHD, it was a sacrifice I was willing to make I did her break in oil change, got her windows tinted and got a nice coat of wax on it for her, so not a completely free ride for me.

Hang in there F&P, it'll be here before you know it.
Almost 300 miles on ours in the four days we've had it. Thanks for the compliment also
SO EXCITED!!! Just called ASKMINI and my baby is in the paint shop. They told me next it goes to assembly and then quality check then shipping. Any ideas if all goes well how much longer I am looking at? Getting closer by the day, can't wait til it gets here and I can finally drive it!!!

How much until what? ASKMINI is only as good as the person that answers the phone... so if you don't know when your MINI is scheduled to be Born, then keep calling and asking different people... you should be able to know when this is scheduled for by now.
Then it will probably sit at the pier for a week before it's loaded on a ship... then about 10-14 days on a ship depending on where on the east coast it will be offloaded. You should check out How to Track your MINI: Revised, Expanded and Updated sticky thread at the top of the 1st Gear forum... lots of great info on tracking your MINI on a ship and more.
Well boat mine is on is docking at Halifax port today. Still On schedule for arrival NJ port wednesday. Dealer estimating pick up Saturday or mOnday. This week is going to crawl by
