My MA Tiffany, called to tell me Pumpkinhead drove off the truck at Classic MINI about an hour ago. WooHoo!!!
I'm going to see it and take some shots now. I will not get to take him home yet, they still have to paint and install the Aero Kit and Strut Brace. Add the floor mats etc...
It should be able to come home in a couple few days. Hopefully by the weekend.

Not positive, but I do know that WW stops in Brunswick, Georgia. That would be my best guess as to the one serving Texas.

I just received an email from my MA... we always talk via email... very quick with a smartphone... my MINI is in as well!!! Scheduling a pickup for tomorrow after work... I'd prefer the morning, but I'll live with evening.

IT'S IN, IT'S IN, IT'S IN!!!! No more popcorn... only a very sleepless night ahead!!!

So how many times a day does everyone check the status of their MINI online?

I plucked my MINI from a Pacific bound ship to a New Jersey bound ship at the last minute...so the status of mine won't update until it is checked in in NJ.

However, if it was worth while...I feel like I'd check the status about 100 times a day!

Prior to going into Production: 3-4 Dozen times a day.
In Production: Maybe once, since I was calling ASKMINI about every other day.
After Production: A couple times a day until I knew it was scheduled for a ship.
On the Ship: Once on day one, once on day two... then it said it was in transit finally.
In port to VDC: A couple times a day
Today: 4 or 5, until I got an email from my MA saying it was at the dealership.

I just checked again and OL still has it at VDC, but today is the estimated delivery date.

 

OK so i'm on par with you (well you might check more than I do, but not by much). I don't know about "askmini?" do tell!

Section 2 of the above link: 1-866-ASK-MINI (1-866-275-6464) is a live support center setup by MINIUSA to handle all of your calls and inquiries related to your MINI order. They are good while in production... will say where you MINI is in the assembly line... paint shop... and even confirm when it is schedule to be done. After that they are not really much good at all.

 

Just got the call from my MA. Thursday!!!!

I did not go down to the dealership myself, but will wait until tomorrow... like I said it will be a long night... and a longer day at work, but it's suppose to be a nice weather day tomorrow (a little cool, but I can deal with cool as long as there is some sun).

Yes my camera did go a little crazy, it was as excited as I am.
If you go into work tomorrow with the mindset that you have to work 4 hours overtime it will go by faster.

Believe it or not I don't think the next couple of days will be that bad.
Besides, when I go to bed tonight I don't intend to wake up till I get the call.
It is good to know it's here and I got to sit in it and bond.

 

If we didn't have windshields and front ends there would be no use for bugs! Keep up the good work keeping those bugs employed. (front end: wouldn't that be an oxymoron)
