kanakaboy92 - When did you request them not to put the front plate on? I didn't really think about that when I ordered mine, but I'd definitely prefer not to have the bumper drilled if I can avoid it.

I told my MA the day I placed the order.. He stuck a note in my file, and when my car came in, he remembered not to put it there.
It was nice of him to leave a note on the car itself so when it goes through PDI the techs don't do it.

I guess as long as you tell your MA before it gets to the dealer then you'll be in great shape!

Just send your MA an email. It's something they do to the car at the dealership prior to delivery.

Bugged my MA yesterday when I learned the ship landed...and again today to see if was on a truck yet...and it is!

He didn't see that it had left for NH yet. If so, then best case is I am behind the wheel tomorrow, worst case Monday.

Until then, I'm driving this bad boy:

You drive a bad boy... sorry, I don't see one.

And just to let you know, most dealerships take at least a day to clean up and prep your MINI before giving them to their owners.

Have some popcorn and relax

Any MINIs partying with mine?

Mine's on the K-LINE California HWY, which departed on 5/30/12. It has an ETA of 6/13 at Brunswick, GA. Anyone else have a MINI on this vessel?
I think I have a name decided....but gonna wait till I see it to decide for sure! I think it's gonna be a boy....but my hubby says it's a girl!!!
Congrats to those of you who got your babies!!!

That's a great way to describe it. It grows even more intense the closer you get to the finish line!!

Here’s an update on your vehicle:

I’ve scheduled with our paint shop to have the roof and mirror caps painted. The job will only be done by Monday, 06/11. Once that is done, we will bring the vehicle back and finish the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) and swap wheels and install the driving lights on it.

I’m assuming we could have it done by late Tuesday, or sometime Wednesday. I’m taking the car out to the paint shop before 11:00 am today.

I will keep you posted.

Now I gotta call my clear bra guy to see if he can do it Wednesday morning instead of Monday morning. Part of me just wants to not get a clear bra. But I sometimes drive I-5 in CA through the valley and...and lets just say my MINI gets VERY familiar with bugs. So, I should probably go forward with the clear bra.
I hear that with the clear bra, I have mine going in to have DuraShield applied tomorrow. Kind of a necessary evil with the MINI front end lines.

If your agreeable with their solution you'll be getting your car home soon. Make sure they don't forget your front plate bracket!

The only K-Line vessel that has left Southampton recently that is headed for Charleston is the California Highway. Problem is that that ship sailed on the 2nd and is due to arrive on the 15th. Could the automated OL be that far behind. Another guess is the Euphrates Highway, but that left yesterday for Brunswick. I guess it could also be on some other contracted K-Line vessel. Any ideas?
I think all of our MINIs are together on the California Highway! I'm not sure when my MINI made it to the port, but ASKMINI has been telling me for a few days that it was in transit, and the OL just updated my status to En Route. Since it's not registering with WW, all I can figure is that it left on 6/2 on the California HWY and the tracking systems were just behind (which is what a lot of people on this forum have said). My MINI boarded in Southhampton and will get off in Brunswick (well, I'm assuming that since I live in central Alabama).

It's nice to travel with you, TELY and Rejeme! (Hopefully our assumptions are correct). Well I'm just giddy now!!

Now I have to go find some new wheels! Apparently the ones I ordered aren't actually available in a 4 bolt pattern, despite what the web says...

Sorry I'm responding now to a number of posts but somehow I must have passed right over some. I'm rude that way!

TELY, yes I'm having great fun and you will be too.
As far as your naming your MINI, there are 2 keys so your husband can call your little boy Sally if he wants when he's driving but you'll know better.

LittleWing, thanks for the acolades.
That thing on my nose your talking about, it turns out is a stalk. All of us Pumpkinheads have one. Who knew.

ALL4JOE, I went to see what bad boy you were driving and all I saw was one of those Fjords, um...Foordz, hmf...Ferds.... well at least the tires say Cooper.

fatboy97, Wuzzzaaaaaaaap!

NinjaTurtle, I see you decided on a name. I take it you didn't like Shelly.
Since Raphael will be under your wise direction I guess that would make you Splinter.

Well, I picked it up this morning... Let's just say that I couldn't stop smiling when I saw it for the first time as they moved it into the showroom. It was such a weird but amazing feeling. It had a sweet 6 miles on it (forgot to take a picture of that, but oh well.). Stalled twice but made the 40 miles back home!

Seattle MINI doesn't put the front plate holder on them at initial delivery. They ask you what you want when you came back in to pick up the plates. At least that's what they did with our 2 cars. I opted for the tow hook license plate adapter for the wife's and will probably do the same when my plates arrive. Now the hard part, what vanity plate to order!

Mine is coming to CA before arriving here in the Seattle area. Current status on OL is Awaiting Transport.

I love seeing everyone get their MINI's. Everytime someone shows a picture of theirs, I find myself going "Ooh I should have gotten that color or Ooh I should have gotten those wheels" I wonder if anyone has ever configured themselves insane?
HAHAHAHA. I was thinking the same thing after seeing those prior to and including Punkinhead and flanders (still trying to catch up so there may be more deliveries). Very nice guys. I hope mine looks as purdy as yours.
