Welcome from another new CT owner. I have not had much luck with the wave either. I could not pass on the polar white interior either.

thanks for the warm greetings. i enjoy cars that have a following. i had a jeep wrangler in college we waved to each all the time.

i traded in a bmw m3 for the mini and bmw owners don't wave.

nobody waves when i drive my ferrari but i don't see that many when driving. however, ferrari has a really diverse and nice user group, more so then the bmw crowd.

looking forward to meeting more mini owners. i like meeting up with other enthusiasts for a cars and coffee drive on the weekends. learn a lot talking and sharing experiences.

i already know my next mini is going to be a jcw hardtop.

i haven't driven one yet but i bet it's even tighter in everyway to what i have.

i want that rally car experience

or whatever racing edition they come out with next.

can i add jcw parts to my mini?

Welcome to the gang. You should not expect a wave in CT especially in Fairfield county. That is where a number of us are.

Nice car, and love the color
I'll go days w/out a wave back, and then one day I'll get everyone to wave back. I know I've even missed a few wave backs myself. So don't give up, if we all wave enough, sooner or later the loosers will catch on

Nice MINI, love the color both outside and in!
And don't get discouraged about the waving, it's one of those things where true enthusiasts will still wave.

i live in westport, ct that's in fairfield county.

i must say in others defense that there are a lot of minis and bmw's so i understand if people don't wave back.

i moved from manhattan 2.5 years ago and my faith in humanity was restored a couple of weeks ago. i was at the fitness edge in fairfield off exit 23 when my car ran out of battery. i left the lights on. i was going to be late for things etc. when this college coed pulled up right next to me in a mini van.

i decided i was going to ask her for a jump since i already had cables but i was fully prepared to be maced or have her run away from me in a full sprint using her whistle. still in manhattan mode.

but to my pleasant surprise when i approached and asked her it was like she expected to help others and said sure like she was just doing what she was supposed to do. she gave me a jump and when my car started she smiled and told me to have a nice day.

if she only knew the amount of aggravation she saved me with her simple gesture. i still remember her face and my wish is she gets recipricated in kind in the future.

lesson learned by me to be more like her.

no hard feelings to those that don't wave back.

love the orange spice badge. my guess is there is a whole thing with badges i need to learn about?

cheers,

cl

if you want that rally car feel then you should look for a 2006 GP or you can just let the mod bug bite you and and make yours perform like a rally car.
