Curious

A few things I noticed about my 2011 MCS:

1) The rear headrests create blind spots and take up approximately 50% of the rear window view
2) When adjusting the seat, steering wheel, no matter what config, unless I put the wheel at it's highest point, the tach is obscured.
3) My pant leg gets stuck on the lower seat adjustement getting out of the vehicle.

Solutions or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Scott

#1: Welcome the newest in Federal Safety Standards...I've heard of a few people removing the spacer collars from the posts, by pushing some retaining pin out. I personally don't have these on my 2010.

#2: I personally don't know of a work around for this, same annoying issue with my 2010. The only thing I've ever figured out was to lower the drivers sat all the way to the bottom. But, then you feel like a midget with your butt dragging the ground...so not an option for me so I just live with not seeing the very upper portion of the tach.

#3: Sorry. no clue. I've never encountered the issue and the seat adjustment is the same as 2010.

One thing that will help with the view out the back is a hint from Click and Clack on how to set your side views. This is real important for the cabrio pilots who have even less visability out the back.

1. take those ridiculous collars off. There's a little pin that holds them in place. Just take a thin screwdriver and push the pin out. The only thing holding the pin in place is pressure so you can just push it out and take the collar off. That will let you lower the headrest all the way.

2. I noticed the same thing. I haven't come up with a solution. I like my seat as low as possible and even all the way down the top of the tach is still obscured.

3. hrmm...no clue on this one.
