Hey guys-

I've been a big fan of MINI since the R50 came out and finally I'm joining the family. I'm in the process of getting a 2011 R56 S, Eclipse Grey. I was originally planning all along to custom order mine, but there is one coming to the dealer that's pretty close to what I'd want (minus mini connected). So I won't have to wait the 8 weeks for the full delivery.

I've been lurking here awhile and the fact that MINI has such a great community between NAM, White Roof Radio and Motoringfile actually played into my decision in getting a MINI. Enthusiasts will give you the best and worst about brands, and you guys have done a good job in representing the MINI brand. No product is perfect, in any case. But since you guys were able to help people that are having problems, and give recommendations and guidance to modifying and DIY projects you help make the product better yourselves.

So, thank you NAM, honestly, because of NAM it was a much easier decision.

Maugre- I was really really close on getting a similar combo, BRGII, black roof, black wheels. Ended up going with Eclipse Grey/Black roof/black wheels.

 

Congrats & Welcome...finding one on the lot or at the VPC makes life so much easier (and the fun comes faster). Enjoy! Post some pics when you get your hands on it...

 

Thanks DooBahDoo! Yeah, it's on the boat right now (supposed to dock on 11/26)... so I think it's still a 2 week wait after that... I don't know how you guys can do a 2 month wait. I would go nuts!

Hahaha, well, one thing I conceded on was the xenon/black housings. They didn't have one in stock (they did have some on the test drive car, and I attempted to have that as a donor car, not sure if they can do that)... so that might be the first mod (xenon/joey mod). Not sure who does that sort of work out here in Portland... I think attempting that as my first mod might be aggressive

I also wanted Mini Connected, but have decided to integrate my iPad as much as possible to get close to that experience.

BTW, love the name for the clubman, longboy is perfect!

Oh yours must be on the Don Juan with mine. She is docking 11/26 - my MA said I would have my hands on her by 12/1. Cannot wait!!!

So stoked, get to pick it up tomorrow from the dealership. These are "before" pics from the dealer. Getting black sport stripes, tint and black star spoke wheels put on. I'll post new pics when I actually get this puppy home!

I am doing the xenon/black housings as well on my 2011 S, (hopefully completing my order today!) I can't resist, they look so neat! Especially on the Eclipse Grey color, that's what I am getting mine in as well
