Even though sailwx.info doesn't show an updated position of Undine, but from WW's site, it shows Undine has left Panama. Final leg!!!

Looks like the Undine might have missed its original scheduled slot and is expected to start (or finish) traversing the canal at 06:30 UTC. Might be able to catch it on the webcam if you time it right .

Edit:
Got the info from marinetraffic.com

Yup, if you map its location it looks like that ship is just sitting and waiting outside the entrance to the canal (0.1 knots listed as its speed)

I hear that. My Clubman S is on the Madame Butterfly and won't even be at the canal until the 24th. Since I can't track it I have been tracking the Undine

I think it did leave Manzanillo on time. The next stop for Undine is the Panama Canal port, which is the entry from Pacific Ocean side. Looks like it has to go back out on the Atlantic side for a bit till it is granted passage to cross the actual canal. Just my guess. Because if you goto marinetraffic.com, and search for ports in Panama, you'll see Manzanillo and Panama Canal ports. The Panama Canal port is expecting Undine at 01:30. Just my guess....

Not to stray too far off-topic, but there is a fascinating article on the Panama Canal on Wikipedia. It was one of the most difficult engineering projects in history. The construction claimed about 27,500 worker's lives between 1880 and 1914. I had no idea...

The width of the locks limits the size of ship that can traverse the canal, with roll-on/roll-off carriers like our WW freighters being right at the upper size limit. There is a photo in the article showing one of the WW RORO ships in the locks.

New locks are under construction to allow much wider ships to transit; expected completion in 2015.

I don't think you're off-topic (for me at least). In fact, to let time go faster, this past weekend I even watched a documentary about Panama Canal (American Experience: Panama Canal) on netflix. Interesting watch.

are we there yet?

For those on the M/V COURAGE, it is anchored as of late last night/early this morning in Baltimore, next to the I-895 tunnel (a mere 30 minutes from my house). For those in the mid-Atlantic area, my MA told me to expect "no less than" a 3-day turnaround from the vessel unlading to when they receive the MINIs in Annapolis. I'm hoping that I can pick up my CM on Wednesday, as my MA is off on Thursdays. We'll see...

I didn't know it took so long for ships to cross the Panama Canal. Because even though marinetraffic.com says it is sailing, she's still in the canal. See the picture....

From what I can tell it takes 30-60 mins to get through the Atlantic locks and then the ship has to anchor for a bit (probably waiting a bit for its Pacific slot) before continuing. Not sure if she will have to anchor again before she goes through the Pacific locks.

I think so. Right now it is almost 8AM in Pacific time. And UTC time is almost 3PM. So I guess it gets to Port Huemene at midnight on April 23. So the car will be ready for processing first thing in the morning by the folks at VDC.

Good! It almost feels like we'll be gaining a day...if it came in the afternoon on the 23rd, that would have been lame.

Also, this will be on my computer all day long. Hopefully I can get a screen grab when the time comes:

You're both correct...

Off topic: All you 2011'ers, Have you heard any news on whether the Torque Arm Insert or oil catch can is a worthwhile and necessary modification to the 2011 N18 engines?

It's tough to navigate the Gen 2 Drivetrain Mods threads and filter out the pre '11 mods.
