That is great news Grimnebulin. I am still waiting for mine to get up here, 700 miles further north of you. I'll probably be able to pick it up early next week.

They said it was dropped off yesterday so yours should be a day further down the road. Hopefully you'll get it just in time for the weekend!

That would be so awesome
But unfortunately my MA takes Thursday and Friday off, and I won't have a ride down there until Monday.
But I've waited this long already, a few more days is okay.

I thought about grabbing that too, but $3.99...and the K-Line my MINI is on hasn't been updated in 2 days, 15 hours...looks like it doesn't get consistent updates through the middle of the Atlantic for my ship.

Should be by May 2nd.

I didn't order with the premium package. I just ordered with Auto A/C and HK radio, no sunroof. And mine might make May 2nd as well. Took a gamble and it looks like I'm going to lose. Had I ordered with the sunroof I could have saved $1,250...for a risk of $500.

Looks like I chose poorly.

It should make it baring any large delays getting through the canal. I think your MA can expedite it once it gets to VDC.

OK, in regard to mid-ocean tracking: I see this morning that since the Madame Butterfly has departed coastal waters, my MarineTraffic app is no longer able to track her position. Hmm... damn.

So I guess my next position update will be when she approaches the Panama canal, in perhaps 5 days or so.

Unless, of course, the captain of the Madame Butterfly goes completely bat-sh*t, thinks he's Captain Ahab, and heads for Cape Horn instead!

:-)

I gambled the other way and added the premium package. But since it took so long for mine to go into production I'm going to lose too.

I added what I wanted and whatever happens happens

I've got my 30,800 at 0.9% locked in, and if I get a free package, well yay

I agree with the wait being so painful...this has got to be the longest April yet. And like so many before me, I tried (but failed) to stay away from my computer to track where our ship is.

I called my MA the last week and he said it takes about 5 days from VDC to them, so he believes I will have my baby by the end of the month. <me fingers crossed>

5 days sounds about right - my car came into Port Hueneme last Wednesday and I got it in Sacto last night.

Maybe it's just me or something, but I now noticed there are a lot of Mini's on the road.....

I know for a fact that I'm not going to get an update from marinetraffic.com today or tomorrow, likely not on Friday, and possibly not even Saturday...but that hasn't stopped me from refreshing the page ever hour or so.

It was weird...once I considered ordering one I started seeing them everywhere. Then my daughter asked me to point one out on the road if we saw one and for nearly a week I didn't see one when she was in the car. I'd see them everywhere if she wasn't. Then, one day, I was finally able to point one out to her...since then we're both seeing them everywhere.

Thanks for the update. I've been tracking her daily on sailwx.info

I, to, am hoping it will be delivered that week. I have a conference starting the night of May 2nd, and it would be great to take the Mini to that. It would only take me about two days to get through the break-in period.

A lot of MINI's on the road? I'll say. There are so many MINI's running around my neighborhood in Santa Monica right now that I can't walk 50 feet without tripping over one.

I just had a horrible thought: what if the M. Butterfly arrives at the Panama Canal toll booth and the captain realizes that he doesn't have enough quarters?

...me too, but there ARE more on the road. More Minis, more Honda Fits, more Toyota Yaris and more Mazda 3's.

Gas is $4.25.

Hahaha...that's a scary thought. Or if the Captain brought it in British pounds...yikes!

Ok...so I guess:
1. My obsessive behavior of checking the ship status even though I know it only updates every 6 hours
2. Feeling the month of April is going by very slow
3. Suddenly realizing so many Mini's on the road
are all normal behavior. That's good to know because my mom thinks I'm crazy. I told her I had to order the car and they have to build it in UK and put it on a large ship that only carries cars is very odd to her. She's used to just walking into the dealer and buying anything that's available.

Undine left Panama

lithium77, lineaux, and Mo'Phat,

Even though sailwx.info doesn't show an updated position of Undine, but from WW's site, it shows Undine has left Panama. Final leg!!!
