Yet another great way to waste time and money in GA! I have my PPL and fly out of DPA here in Chicagoland. You on the Red or Purple boards?

WW tracking now shows me car as booked on the Undine. It must take some time to update because it shows it was booked on the 22nd but just barely showed up today on the tracking.

Wrong Production Number

I got a call from the manager where I ordered my car. They gave me my production number but when I enter it into the Mini Owners Lounge database it comes back with the wrong car.
Does anyone know if the numbers in the production number mean anything about the model type? For example mine starts with 665. It's coming up with a convertible S. I ordered a regular convertible. All the numbers I checked near mine were convertible S's.

Mine is confirmed as well. WW's site shows it was booked and received on Mar. 26 at 06:38.

I would call your MA again to make sure the correct information was entered. But then again, if you're getting a S for the price of a non-S, would you complain?

For me, the information on OL matches my order.

I suggest give the OL 24-48 hours. When I ordered mine, it initially showed up as MC Red Chili non-S, and it was stayed like that for almost two days.

WOW! That's crazy. The OL information is pretty horrible I think. There's really only 3 things I got out of it:
1. My car spec, confirming what I'm getting is what I ordered
2. Production number
3. VIN number

The status shown on OL is so delayed.

Yes, it is delayed. I was going to call my MA when I first found out. Good thing I remembered he was off that day so I just decided to wait another day.

You may call it a waste, I call is having fun and relaxing..you never spend money to have fun?! I'd love to know how you got your mini for free!?
I thought it would be fun to give the guys at the dealership some photos of the car lot for there desks. I am friends with the finance guy, and he helped me out a lot with the purchase, thought some photos would be a nice, "thank you"..

Thanks for the reply Lineaux. I just got an email from from MA saying that it takes a few days for the correct info to get imported. I guess I just have to learn to be patient.

Every production number is given a 'placeholder' car...which is normally a car some dealer orders to just have stock on the lot. The 'placeholder' can be replaced with a custom ordered car so it can go into production quickly. It normally takes a couple days to be updated on the Owner's Lounge.

Okay, that makes sense. I was wondering why it came up with another model car rather than just saying that it didn't have that number in the system.
Thanks!

That's true, getting the S upgrade for free would be nice but it was the wrong color too so I knew it wasn't mine.
Mine should show up under that number in a couple of days.
