Way to go Achilles honor! I'm envious! But really happy for you. My MINI has been on Canadian soil for more that two weeks now and I still haven't seen him. With luck - Tuesday!

Hey all. We ordered last Sunday and just found out this morning we are in Production with a scheduled completion date of 4/12. I think that will put us on track to catch the Toledo:

SOUTHAMPTON 26/04/2011 PORT HUENEME, CA 18/05/2011 TOLEDO
Here's our Spec:

PW/B Clubman S
Auto
Cloth, heated seats
Crome Int
Bluetooth/Ipod
Roof Rails
White turn sigs
Arm Rest
Blk Sports Stripes

Even though this is our third order, I'm just as excited and spending just as much time tracking!

no they got everything write but for some reason the black housings and rims didnt get put on the dealer invoice (meaning my MA messed it up) so i talked to the parts guy and got the prices of the two parts and they took that price off the car

Congrats Achilles! Sorry your MA messed up a bit. But don't lose sleep over it. If they took it off the price of the car, then you're probably going to do better at tirerack anyway.

Looks great, Ah! Congrats. So they are going to switch out the headlamp housing, too? Not the end of the world, then. At least they messed up something that can be easily remedied. And you'll probably find some black wheels you like even better at Tire Rack anyway. I got the black wheels, but I know I'll probably end up getting some from Tire Rack down the road since I like their selection MUCH better.

I see....ok. At least the thing they screwed up on can be remedied as BoCRon said.

Nice ride.

I guess it mostly depends on the dealer and their allotment of production slots. We were actually told we would be in Week 14 but were bumped to Week 15. It's all good though because I don't think we would have gotten on a ship any earlier.

Hang in there!

May as well join the 2011 queue.

I may as well dive in to the deep end...

First post. Hiya everybody! Its Tom from Santa Monica, having finally sold my C5 Corvette and taken the plunge into the Mini pool.

I've never owned a Mini, but I've been wanting one ever since I was in high school in the mid-'60s, during the years the Austin Cooper 1275's were sweeping the European rally circuit. I remember how I used to wait for every issue of Road & Track to read about how the Coopers were beating the snot out of everybody through the Alps. (The other favorite mag of the teenage me was Playboy, but for some reason I don't seem to remember if there were any Minis inside its covers, hmm.)

Yes, all this history dates me as a geezer, doesn't it? Hey, I only had to wait 45 years to get my paws on my teenage dream car, ha ha! (I do own another British car: a 1965 Lotus Elan S2. It is, of course, not running. My little um, project car.)

Anyhoo, I placed my Mini order on February 23rd, but did not get a build date for over a month. Now scheduled for production this coming week, and God am I getting antsy. How do you people stand this waiting?

Thanks to everyone who has posted. I have enjoyed reading along in this thread, it keeps me from going totally nuts while my Mini is moving along at the speed of a glacier...

A new Mini by the first of May? Perhaps, perhaps...

Congrats, Tom and welcome to NAM. I guess if you have to be tortured by the wait, you picked a great MINI. Looks like a stunning build in your sig. Just an FYI, Mini refers to the classic pre-BMW cars whereas MINI is the current line.
Looking forward to seeing yours when it arrives.

Annette
