Yea, not too many. I did take it a step further and starting using queries for BMWs and Countrymans since the ships first stop was Bremerhaven. There are a number of each loaded on there, but also not too many that I could see.

 

mine didnt get booked until the boat actually showed up at the docks. be patient

 

If you didn't leave a deposit when you ordered the car, they are not obligated to sell it to you. Ordered cars are generally not loaded with accessories as they are on the dealer showroom floor. Therefore 'ordered cars' are 'hot commodities' because the sticker price is less than what's on the floor. The trick they use to get another car in the showroom is to ask for a credit card deposit. Then they don't run your credit card. If you didn't get a receipt for the credit card deposit or if they don't cash your deposit check, the dealer has no obligation to sell you the car when it comes in.

When they took my credit card, they didn't run it. I wasn't told this until I asked for a receipt for the deposit and insisted on signing it. I got my car in less than 6 weeks at Bob Smith in Calabasas, CA. Having had my ducks in a row, I found them very easy to deal with. They honored the original deal and I was very happy with the terms and with the car. I do wish I had ordered the Harmon Kardon sound system though. I'm finding out if I can order it after the fact.

 

You should drive over to the bay and get a shot of the Talisman as it makes its way to Baltimore

no joke i was thinking about doing that and following it to the dealer but then i have a horrible thing called work. holding me back from doing that lol..and does the boat port at 7am or 7pm?

It's probably 7am as it's at the entrance to the bay now, and it's probably 10 hours or less away. I would assume they bring them in the morning so they can head back out at night.

So my brother that has the M3 on order just confirmed with his CA that his car was actually loaded on the Undine in Bremerhaven even though the ww tracking says it has no record of his vin. Based on that, chances are good we are all booked on the Undine.....I hope.

I was down there around 2000, lived there for a couple of years. Worked in RB area. Then decided to move back to the Bay Area. SD was nice....except for Santa Ana winds.....

I really would but i cant drive 2 cars at once. oh well i guess ill just have to get my car only.. lol and do you know if the have a live feed for the baltimore port like they do at southhampton?

I got a call today that my car arrived! i rushed over to see her and she is beautiful! i took her on a test drive but she still needs some of thre factory mods i ordered put on.. (stripes, and fog lights) hopefully she'll be safe and sound in my garage very soon!

Do we call this on time, or one day early? I haven't followed all the tracking, so I don't know which VDC the cars are taken to.

 

nope! me and the girlfriend took off in her and boy was it hard to give her back! i think it made it harder in a way to wait.. but its comforting knowing she's at least as close as she is!

 

went flying today and flew over the dealership and snapped some pics of my baby.
