Yeah, my MA called today, says my MINI is going to be shipped (trucked..lol) to them on Weds. So hoping for a friday pick-up, will be tight, but he still thinks friday at this point.

 

You should make the boat, hey mine did those two and half months ago. And, let me tell you, it is well worth the wait. My only wish, if I had it to do over again, even though I love the red leather and black cloth seats, I'd trade them for the Mini Connect. MERRY CHRISMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

 

Hours away from the big ditch. Lost a day alreay and wonder how long in normally takes to get through. Lots of boats on each end waiting. Looks to be a day or two. One that came in last night over 12 hours ago is still waiting its turns sitting on the hook.

 

Did you know that modern cargo ships are designed for speeds of 25 knots, but practice "slow steaming" of 14-17 knots for fuel efficiency? That's slower than the clipper ships of yesteryear.

Traveling at 25 knots instead of 17 knots would have cut the Falstaff's 20 day journey to the Panama Canal to just 13 days.

Not that I'm counting days, or anything.

It was a long 20 days. I hope the Falstaff doesn't have to wait too long for it's turn to cross the canal. It's currently scheduled to arrive Hueneme 12/30, so I won't get my new toy til early Jan.

 

Lost a day so far and and is currently at the dock either loading or unloading.

Where do you all get those "up to date" info about where your car is? I am very curious. It seems like my sales advisor doesn't seems to know any better and owner's lounge seems like it is not up to date. ...

Just found out mine will be on "MORNING CARINA". ETA 1/12/2010 TO PORT HUENEME, CA.
I am just hoping that .9% would continue to be available on Jan. =P

Does anyone else have a mini riding on the Fidelio and being unloaded in Brunswick? The initial arrival date was the 21st but then changed to the 23rd. I'm excited but the wait is driving me nuts!

 

Or better Bruin I hope.. Jan/Feb is and ugly time to sell cars and ussually the best deals of the year to get some traffic moving. It would not be a good time to drop the .9 as people will just wait for spring.

 

I missed it on the live webcam. Did you get any screen shots? I'm just glad it's full speed ahead until Port Hueneme.

 

oh... is that right? I thought it was pretty bad time to purchase..since the new year for the first quarter begins...
well.. i gotta hope for the best...
btw, this wait on mini is surely testing my patience since it has been more than 6 weeks that I placed order on my mini. I thought I would get mine some time before the Christmas.. but.. Surely it has been good time for me to research all the mods that I may want on my mini. =P
