It's so close now I can almost imagine myself in the seat. It's hard to be patient.

 

Hi! I just ordered my 2011 Mini S hardtop today in Minnesota. Should be ready sometime in February. Laser blue with black bonnet stripes and top. I was torn between the white top and stripes, but got the black. I've seen many with white, none with black. What do others think? I can't wait to get it!! I went in there thinking I wanted white silver with black but when I saw the laser blue I knew that was the one for me. Funny how that works! Sometimes you just know the car when you see it. I'm thinking up names, but will have to wait to get a feel for the car first for a definitive name. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

 

Congrats… take it from someone with a MINI on order since early November the wait is murder and reading the NAM boards is a must for survival.

 

Thanks for the reply! My MA at the dealership swapped out one of the production numbers for a Cooper (no S) and made it into my order, so I am hoping this will speed things up a bit. It's hard to wait! I have my production number and it's coming through the BALPOA port location, so I can track progress once it's underway. Oh, did I say, I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Moxie never had one, but I've known so many people whose MINIs have them that I just had to create one for Minja.

 

Congrats! And you're right, that should definitely speed things up. My first MINI, and now my new one, both started out as totally different cars and (so far) I've never waited much more than one month from order date to delivery date. My Moxie was actually a little less less than 4 weeks wait, and had there not been a weird shipping gap this month Minja would've turned out the same way... but since he got stuck at the UK port for 10 days it'll be about 4.5 weeks from order to delivery.

I was informed earlier this past week that my Clubman S was built and waiting at the docks. This was a surprise because the last time I had spoken to my MA?, the dealership did not have an S alloted for them in Dec and my order was put into the "Order Bank". She informed me that my order probably would not be picked up until the first or second week of Jan. That was fine because I needed to turn in my leased 300C at the end of Jan.
I am excited; however, I cant pick up the Clubman ubtil the end of the month. There are many factors involved plus I will turning in my 300C early. So I guess its good to know that it will be ready for me but it will be killing me knowing that it is there. Its a good thing the dealership is 70 miles away and I am limited on miles remaining on the 300 or I would be looking at it every day.
Thanks for all the info because I was able to track the ship. It will be at VDC on 01/02/2011.

Me too. Weather in California has been miserable.

Talked to my MA today. He said to expect the car mid/end of next week. I was hoping for a delivery this weekend, but the VDC does not deliver on weekends and will work slow because of New Year's. You should be getting yours around the weekend of the 8th/9th as well.

 

Best case I would think.
