New NAM team member but lurked for months
Hey team...I'm a new member but currently not a Mini owner. I felt I didn't rate to post without having a Mini. The NAM welcome message continues to ask me to make my first post...not if I own a Mini, so here is my first post.
I've already learned so much valuable information from you to help me select my next new car...which will be a JCW Clubman. I was ready to buy the new Audi S4. But the economic recovery slowed, so I wanted a bit more financial protection before I pulled the trigger.
Then I found NAM and later test drove a JCW Clubman at Knauz in Illinois and I'm now hooked. It still may take a year before I buy it so I'll probably go back to lurking...but thanks for helping me find out about motoring.

Welcome....you are doing the right way...learning and then buying!! It can save you a lot of grief, money and prevent regrets and the I wishes than can happen a few days after delivery!!

Though you may not own a MINI at present you're still a kindred spirit, a lover of all things MINI and therefore more than qualified to be a member of the NAM! 
I'm surprised that after your test drive at Knauz, you didn't get your JCW Clubman right there and then, such is the power of the MINI!
Don't be surprised if you find yourself making excuses to drive past Knauz just to get a glimpse of that JCW Clubbie!
The madness begins with a test drive and then just takes off after that!
Who knows, you may get that Clubbie sooner than you think... One thing is for sure... There's a MINI in your future!

Thanks Zippy. Doing the right thing is often the hardest thing to do. It's best for my family and as you mentioned, it will allow me to make the best option etc selection.

My wife wasn't with and the color was a blue all though nice wasn't what I was looking for. My wife came with me on the second test drive no JCW at the time but she loves the Mini and can't wait till I buy it. She said it should be CR I'm going for the DS.

Welcome - nothing at all wrong with lurking - most of us did the same thing while working through our various stages of MINI mania. I test drove a MINI about 5 times before selling my 3 series BMW and buying the MINI. There are faster cars, more plush cars, fancier cars and way more expensive cars but the MINI is more fun than any car I have owned. Good luck!
Lurk away, everyone who loves MINI's is welcome here. If you can hold off in getting your hearts desire for a year you are a much stronger person than I. I had to go out of state to get mine, couldn't wait for the 2010's.

Welcome to NAM. I too lurked for quite a while before the time was right to buy my MINI.
Watch the posts of people listing their builds and wanting opinions. They will get them while you get some valuable advice to make your decisions when the time comes.
