That's awesome kalililly! I was of course at the dealer today, but didn't get a chance to see if Fiona was there. I had dropped Tui off at 7am and they gave me Clubman JCW to drive for the day. I then got a call at about noon saying they needed to keep my car overnight.

Apparently, there was a small dent in the hood right at the left front headlight. I noticed it this morning, but I thought it was just the curvature of the hood and it was a little dark out. Nope. It's a dent. The dealer is fixing it for me. I have no idea if it was there before I took delivery or after. I don't recall anything hitting my car and there was no chip.

Great customer service though at Ralph Schomp. They are repairing this at no charge to me and I get to keep the JCW! I can't pick my car up until Saturday because my work schedule is too full, so I said tint the windows too! Might as well get the dent, clear mask and tinting all done at once. Oh, I ordered the 2010 TPMS sensors for my snow tires. $376.00. OUCH!

Sorry to hear about the dent You know I've heard good and bad about Schomp but so far all I've had has been nothing but positive with the sales and finance people. Hope this continues with the life of the car, as it sounds it is with you. So how do you like the JCW Clubbie??

We are taking Fiona to IDS(?) Monday night for a full bonnet bra and window tinting. They will then install the sport stripes over the bra. This way there is no cutting around the stripes. But that also means that my wife wants to drive the car as little as possible with all the gravel on the road until the bra has been installed. Oh well!!!

$376 for 4 sensors, yes, ouch!!

Anyone else have this problem?

The sun is out and it is a beautiful day.
You are at work and you pass by a window that allows you to see your parked Mini.
You want to grab your keys, ditch work and drive off to have some fun.
So far I have been able to resist the urge! Not an easy thing to do.
Maybe I need to park where I will not be able to see my Mini.
Nah, Just seeing still makes me happy. Well back to work.

Ok,
Lots of photos for all of you guys. One thing I have found is the hood scoop has some openings,it is not completely bocked off.

Hey b13-
Not too much to say about it, other than I didn't want to pay MSRP, and I hadn't done any "deal" before ordering (which in retrospect I should have done). So before getting into the paperwork, I told them I wanted 500 off the MSRP (not a lot, but it's serious money to me). After a few minutes they agreed. I did point out that MINI USA sales were down 21% for October...

On the down side, I didn't get any goodies (hats, shirts), but in the long run I'd rather not be financing the additional 500 bucks! May not have gotten them in any case...

Everyone was happy when the day was done. And the car is in-freaking-credible to drive. Worth the wait!

More Photos,
One other thing if you look at the shot of the dash you will see two gauges. I only asked for one (temp), they also installed a G.meter. I did not pay for the extra gauge.

Thanks! I have not done much negotiating as well. Was told they could not take off MSRP at all. And pushed, so will need to see what else I can get out of it..

Well, 10 days after I was supposed to pick up my Mini it seems someone is finally buying my Focus. Keep your fingers crossed that this sale actually goes through. We're meeting at my bank at 11:00am tomorrow and I'm driving straight to the Mini dealership to pick her up! Photos tomorrow (I hope!)

Spurious Video

Well...I still don't have a digital camera (spent all my $$$ on this car) but I have a spurious video of my new car for anyone that is bored.

My car is the second one (the big brown Chevy) that comes into view. {Remember...it's spurious.}

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xwYBBpHg1I

I apologise if these is a repeat post. It is the first time posted as spurious.

Where's the hi-rez shots? I had to use the Hubble Telescope to view these.

Your car looks GREAT. Keep us posted on your early impressions/experiences.

It looks spectacular! Pepper White with PW roof and mirrors...from this distance it looks exactly like my car. Good choice!

I'll bet you've run into the same problem I have (with my non-JCW)...how do you stay even close to the speed limit? Last night I turned onto a freeway on-ramp and very gently accelerated. I was watching the tach to stay under 4000 -4500...you know...breaking it in gently. I glanced over at the speedometer and the car was going past 90 mph! <img>

"But officer...I was breaking it in...I never exceeded 4000 rpm..." Yeah...I'm sure the CHP would be very sympathetic.

Just got home with Fiona. Wife loves the little thing. Just started reading manuals and remembered I needed to let all know she is home. Only got one picture before it got dark. Besides, this is sans stripes which will be applied this coming Tuesday when she gets her full bonnet bra and possibly some window tinting. I haven't even got to drive it yet Wife told me to learn all about it so she doesn't have to do anything but drive it and listen to the HK!!!!

kalililly! Car looks AWESOME! Funny thing...That's my car right behind yours. I had to leave it there for the clear mask and the window tint. I'm picking it up tomorrow, but from your picture, I love my tint!

Thanks for the picture, and you didn't even know it!
