Everyone's cars look beautiful!! This is definitely one of the most fun threads on the website. It's been a blast seeing everyone's cars! I love how they're all different and unique. Every time I see my car I smile and usually end up petting it and saying something along the lines of..."Pretty Little Car!"

I think that I'm going to name her Bonita or Bonnie, for short. My first mod's will most likely be the pulsar light and a Euro armrest but neither of those will happen until maybe November. I'm waiting until it gets cool again, LOL. It may not happen until December. Does 303 on the cloth seats count as a mod? Because I'll probably do that in 2 weeks.

Keep the pictures coming! I'd love to see how different all of ours are on the inside too!

LOL I know .. my MA tried to give the the wrong spare key to the car. I was puzzled at why the remote wasn't doing anything, then I read the little white tag on it .. "Silver MC 2009" .. um .. I have a Black JCW mate .. "Oh ya, must have given you the wrong key.. one sec". Whew .. that spare key would have cost me a 1 hour trip back to the dealer :-)

Very excited for you Steelers!

Brad .. man .. sorry to hear that. My last Mini only has 1 chip in the paint, and it was literally 2 days before I took it in for the clear bra. Sigh. The new car has a date with the tint / bra installer on the 17th. Can't wait, then I can breath a bit easier.

So has anyone tried to program the garage door opener yet? Tried last night Any suggestions? If there was an emoticon of a guy chucking tools I would put it here!

I don't have the door openers built in on my Mini but my dad does. I think that all he had to do was hold down the button while pressing the appropriate button on an already existing remote, but I could be wrong. All I know was that he didn't have any problems programming his Civic or the Suburban.

Now, if anyone has any tips on finding a gate opener for a 20 year old gate, I would be extremely appreciative. Lowe's and Home Depot have both failed miserably. And my knowledge of gates and the way they operate is non-existant. I know that a solar panel works it and that wasps love to hide out in the "arm" of the gate, but otherwise I'm clueless. Oh and I know that I need to be able to program the little switches in three positions on the new remote: on, off, and neutral.

Depends on the garage door. Some have a rotating key, and you'll need to press the "program" button on the garage door then follow up with your homelink button. Some just need to have the existing remote pointed at the homelink.

Do you still have your instructions for the garage door you bought? Should be something about it there, and I was pretty sure there's a blurb about it in the Mini Manual about both situations. I was going to setup my remote for the two garage doors I have tonight or tomorrow.

We got to the dealer at noon (right on time ). Everything went pretty well except the MA had never seen the IPhone adapter integration and he had a lot of problems figuring how to make the music connection to the Navagation system work. We were finally able to make it all work..it is very cool . We spent a couple of hours making the MA go through every switch, ****, and feature.. He was very patient with us. We are absolutely in love with Mrs. Peel (see 1967 Brittish program The Avengers)..

We have enjoyed seeing pictures of everyone's cars. This has been soo much fun sharing this adventure with everyone..

Hey everyone!!! We're back. We got a bit delayed in getting down to the dealership but since we had nothing else planned today it didn't matter much.

We had a great drive up the coast and through Camarillo and Filmore. Temps were 70 the whole way. The car is amazing!!! Although I had to restrain myself from really putting my foot into it. Soon, soon.

We stopped briefly along PCH to snap a few additional pics but otherwise we drove the 3 1/2 hour trip straight through.

And now some pics.
My wonderful wife, my son, and me:

A pic overlooking PCH:

And a pic of my new keychain that my wonderful MA surprised me with (Thanks Amanda!!!):

YAYYYYY EVERYONE!!!!!!

YOUR CARS ARE GORGEOUS ALL OF YOU! I am just amazed what a great bunch of wonderful colors and styles!!!!!

My heart is racing. I just got done with sport mode and twisty turns for about 3-4 miles, pushing mondo for the first time until I had to back off - Mondo was BEGGING for more. My heart is beating so fast. I am enjoying driving for the first time that I can remember in a long, long time. Actually enjoying driving. I kinda like that the convertible top obscures rear view - the PDC graphic display on the nav is awesome btw - but I used to get bothered by people riding on my rear end and felt like they could see in my car (lol) but thats all gone. I have just enough visibility and feel like noone can touch me...its all psycho-stuff i know but the thing is that it FEELS right and I can drive now without feeling rushed or pushed or hurried...what an amazing thing. Mondo BEGS and PLEADS to be goosed here and there and I am going to have to arrange for a stage one tuning kit. The trombone rrroooommmoomoomoom is already amazing with the top down around 2-3k RPMs and I just ease on and off the gas just to listen over and over and over, lol. Anyway I just got home and here are initial cell phone pics from the dealership, on the way home, and at home....more to come from a real camera with a higher megapixel count tomorrow...

Can't wait to see pics. I *think* you're the last of us to pick up.

We managed to program ours, but not after a bit of trial and error. In the end, we ended up using the instructions from the garage door opener and not the owners manual. We had to program each opener we owned in succession, or we ended up with only one working opener.

Everything works well now. We have noticed that we really need to PRESS the button in the car to make contact. It requires more than just a light touch.

Thanks!!! And, yes, I am lovin' the aero kit! I thought I was going to need to lower the car to get rid of the wheel gap but somehow the aero kit sorta hides it so I may forego that mod. We'll see...

Lovin' your color combo as well!!! Aren't the leather/cloth seats awesome???

Man the new convertibles look awesome! Great color choice, I like the white with tuscan beige interior

Hope you're enjoying the ride, that convertible needs some sun shine, and we might actually have some of that today in the Bay Area
