My Horizon Blue MCCS should be at the dealership 1st week of April.

Background: I have Hondas/Acura as far back as I can remember. I love them and would have bought another but I became tired of waiting for a new model to come out that's equal to my Prelude and not as large as the Accord 2DR Coupe. I'm retiring one of the two Hondas I presently have - the '98 Prelude. Holding onto the '99 Odyssey a bit longer.

In looking for a new car, I like small cars. So, I wanted a small car with length no longer than my Prelude, with a selectric/shift option automatic transmission (so I get a semi-manual experience and...my spouse can drive it since I gave up teaching her years ago on a manual), power to get on the highway and not a basic & lightweight car but one with features....and this Clubman is it ! It will also be first car for me with leather seats ! I ordered the premium, sports and climate pkgs, silver trim and stripes, roof rails and etc extras. Can't wait !

I also looked and test drove the Volvo C30. It was the right size and horsepower - gets from A to B with speed and it has real comfortable seats ! But...the Volvo is a bit sedate in it's inside styling and in it's responsiveness.
Test driving the Mini....puts a smile on my face ! So, I knew it was for me !

Gotta go down for dinner now but...just read some of the postings regarding tracking your Mini's progress thru production/shipping. Didn't know you could do that. Now have to check if I received any identifying order #s from my dealership. Their PC was down the day I ordered the car and he provided me confirmation of the order the next day...so I bet I do not have the order number...I'll call him tomorrow !

 

Call 866 Ask Mini after you get your number, I information from them, the Owner's Lounge tells me nothing.

Okay..Here is latest story ! I called my dealer and got the Production Number and Port info. Went to the Mini Lounge and checked out Order Status and the status is......

"Scheduled for production"

I checked out the Order detail and my VIN number is listed. All the details of my order seem correct ! So far...so good ! Now it's wait !

I'll have to give a call to the number "ASK MINI" and see if any later details and just to check out what they can tell me. Seems fun so far...It's something to occupy my time. But I do not know my Production Week yet...so...guess not ready to jump into any specific group yet. I guess it's off to the Clubman Forum to initiate a post there !

 

I guess because I have just started looking into all of this, my MINI has been progressing thru the stages. Yesterday evening was first time I entered MINI Lounge having calling my dealer and getting my Production Number. Yesterday, the Lounge indicated I was "Scheduled For Production". Just for kicks, I figured I would check again this morning and...status now changed to "Awaiting Transport" !

I guess I have to call Ask MINI to get the detailed info such as...what my production week is/was. Any idea if the status changed from yesterday to today to indicate "Awaiting Transport" what production week that puts me in...so I know what group of you guys I should be in ?

 

you probably started in Week 9...I don't think there's a thread for that, but we have 9s, 10s, and 11s in the Week 11 thread.

Oh Hello! I noticed you have a clubman/HB/black. You don't see many with the black roof. Mine is due in a few weeks and they're very similar. Are you happy with the color combo?
