Were on the home stretch now. I can't wait. Hopefully it won't sit at the VDC for days on end like my last car. It seemed like it would never leave.

Hello Week 4!
I have been lurking since before this thread began. I ordered on January 10th and had build completed on the 21st. I think that puts me in week 4, right? I watched as the first few of the group took delivery, and I was thrilled to follow them with my delivery on February 7th. I've been having so much fun since then, that I haven't even stopped for photos.
PatM, I can't imagine waiting for multiple different builds. Based on my experience debating options, once you get the one you really want, you'll be thrilled. I was driving the other day and realized that this is the first car I've owned that has absolutely everything I wanted, and nothing that I didn't.
I know, I owe some photos. All the best.

Happy motoring.

I was close to getting buyer's remorse (spending $33K on a MINI, or getting a year-old 335 or a 528 for the same money), and then I drove that thing home and it kept bringing a smile to my face. I'm really surprised that the car can be comfortable, yet so tight in turns, plus it has plenty of pickup for a 1.6L. I wish they put this mill in a 1-series.

At $42k, the JCW isn't even ENTRY level luxury. But where else can you get this type of luxury handling and performance for that price?

Sweet!! Great pics, even nicer car....
Should be picking up mine this Saturday! Yay!!
Yeah, or that's what my MA told me. It's actually been ready to pick up since Tuesday evening (they had to install the aero kit at the dealership) but I'm not able to go get it until Saturday. Looking forward to zipping around all weekend long!
Yeah, it's crazy all the goodies you can add. That's close to what I will be paying. I had to make an effort to keep it under $40k w/ tax and licensing.
Will be picking ours up on Saturday as well. Dealer got it last Friday, but has some more stuff to add (brace, scuttles, invisi-guard).
Took my '02 in for some work and got a 328i ($36k stripped) as a loaner. It does not feel as solid as a MINI nor does it come close to the performance of a JCW. Regardless of what any of us paid for our respective MINIs, we got a great value as compared with some of the other "entry" level luxury cars.
Ha! Yes, I predict it will be difficult to behave myself while I'm breaking it in. Glad to hear you're not finding it too bad.
Have fun with your new arrival (and post pictures of the bundle of joy!
)
Ohboy,Ohboy,Ohboy......
Pics will follow.
