Wanted to say hi...

Hello! I'm Miguel ("Capo") and I love the minis! I don't have one yet, right now I'm driving an 08 XB. Since my current car is completely pay off, I'm planning to get the rest of the money and get a mini for birthday on August.. All I need now is the patience!!!! I was planning on lower my XB, do headers, complete exhaust and wheels, but I'm going save that money for the mini...

Here is my stock xb...

How tolerable are dealership with suspension mods? My only plans for my future mini is to lowered it, a nice exhaust setup and the rest is exterior modifications.

Then, anyone know if MINI plans to bring the chocolate color to the hardtop mini?

And last, When usually MINI announce the next year models (in my case for the 2010)? I'm just asking because when August comes, maybe is worth to wait a few more months for the new year model and with the extra money get the JCW version or more options..

Well... that's it for me... I will keeping checking the forum, mostly the pictures..

Thanks.

With suspension components they are fairly lenient, its the engine modifications that they look out for. Stuff like pulleys, but some dealers are cool and don't mind. My previous MCS had camber plates, strut bar, front and rear sway bars, koni dampeners, hsport spring and top and bottom control arms and Universal MINI never said anything about them.

I believe you'll be seeing the HC in the hatchback in the upcoming year...2010.

sounds like you have a good plan. might as well not mess with the XB like you said. Aug will be here before you know it!

another idea.. you mentioned wheels... maybe if you get some nice rims in the meantime...to make the XB look better, keep in mind the mini if theyre the same backspacing...appears to be the same lug pattern. Then you could just order the mini w small rims and upgrade yourself (unless its a JCW...those already look pretty sweet).

YEAP! that is the plan! I will be waiting for the HC color on the hardtop mini.. OR, wait for some end of the year deals for the 2009 models only if the 2010 model has not big changes..

well.. 6 months to go.

So far I decided for a:
- Red JCW with black top
- Black wheels
- JCW body kit
- White turn signals
- Xenon headlamps
- Rear fog lights
- iPod adapter
- Steering wheels with controls

I wish they could offer JCW coilovers..

Anyone have an idea when the 2010 model will be announced?
