I live in Suffolk. I am looking for same thing. I know of at least 2 (i think) clubs, Seven Cities Minis and HR Club Mini.

Hi little bittie! There is a club in North Carolina called Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club but I think that they are more towards the middle of the state. The club closest to you is probably Hampton Roads Club Mini based in the Norfolk/Chesapeake/Virginia Beach region. HR Club Mini is more of a not-a-club than a club. We do impromptu meets, dinners, ice cream runs and so forth fairly regularly. I'm a proud member of the club. I post over there under the username Warped. Come on over and join the festivities!

Seven Cities Mini hasn't been very active recently. Their website says that they are retooling their club, processes and so forth. They are a pay-to-join club and they used to do a bit of charitable work. I was once a part of it myself.

 

Welcome little bittie! You are indeed welcome to join Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club - there is no cost. As indicated, most of the events tend to be in the Triangle area and west. We did do two events on the coast in 2008 - an Okracoke Run to see the outer banks and some of the lighthouses and then a meet in Myrtle Beach.

We seem to be picking up more and more members from the eastern part of the state. Perhaps at some point there will be enough of a nucleus to start up some smaller get togethers between major events (albeit the distances are an impediment).

HR Mini would also be a good alternative from what I hear and based on some of the past interaction between the clubs.
