Best car loan rates?

My Clubman is finally in production and it's time to start searching for the best car loan rates out there. If you found a great rate would you mind sharing the Institution and the rate they charge. Thanks!

Yeah, PenFed is the company I'm planning on going with as soon as I get my VIN.

Being in Everett you probably have access to First Technology Credit Union - I was quoted 4.49%. That includes a "green" discount that the JustaCooper is eligible for. Don't know if the 'S' qualifies or not. The rate was 4.75% without it.

Are you a member of a credit union? I'm going with Georgia's Own Credit Union & have a 3.99% 3-year loan. I've always found that credit unions seem to offer the best auto loan rates year-round.

You can always check your dealership first, they have other options besides BMW/MINI. The finance guy at my dealership got me 4.69% for 60 months from Bank of America.

My credit union, Atlanta Postal Credit Union, just gave me a 4.25% rate over 60 months. Pretty awesome, but they took forever (two weeks) to get me my check.

Thanks for all the advice so far. Didn't some reading in the tread link from Krim. And PenFed.org looks really good. We are with the Boeing CU and they are charging 5.25% right now. But I will call them to see if they will match a lower offer.

Golden 1 Credit Union is offering 4.89% on new cars - 60-month term.

I financed my used car at that rate a couple of weeks ago when they were offering that rate on used vehicles!

We are going with PenFed, after the loan is approved you can just call them when you need the check.

I went to the dealer with my "check" from Capitol One Finance for 4.55% (36 months) the dealer asked if he could match it would I finance there, told him he would have to do better so he got on the computer and within 3 minutes I had a 4.45% not much better but better, I don't even know the name of the lending institution yet, waiting to hear for them and I've been driving for a month now.

I called Boeing Credit Union and was told that they do not match anyone else.
BTW looks like our Mini's will be born the same day.

Congrats, let us know how everything with PenFed goes. I'm waiting for my VIN to do the same.
