Finally got my production number!

Hey everyone! Finally just got my production number from my MA! My MA says its going to built 3rd week of Sept. What production weeks is this? hopefully it will be here around Halloween!

I ordered a 09 MCS auto. Lighting blue with black top and bonnet stripes. Convenience package, anthracite headliner, piano black finish, rear fog light, white turn lights and xenon headlight! The wait is going to be so long >_>

Congrats! This is definitely a hard wait! My Clubman is sailing on the Southern Highway... I'll get mine about when yours is being built... This has been a very long wait! It should be worth it!

OK kids, when I went in to order, and mind you I had to drive 190 miles to Dallas to do so, my MA was totally not interested in me. He did mumble something about October 20, but I am unsure now if that is expected delivery date (as I thought at the time) or expected build date. Any thoughts on this?

I just got word from my MA that when I go in this evening to order, it will be a week 41 build, that's Oct 6 for those keeping track.

Jenanhill, it sounds like that is your expected delivery date. You are probably a week 39 or 40.

Rick Hunter was also the name of a character on the 80's robotech anime. o_O

I finally did the deed last night and walked out the door $1000 poorer, but with a production number in hand. Today she's a sparkling silver MCS with cloth interior, but by the end of week 40, she will be a Mellow Yellow thing of beauty!

Mixed-up MINI?

How did the whole color swap thing happen? Is it listed incorrectly on the OL or did you change your mind? I'm curious because I got my production number last night and its listing my MINI as OB, not AB so I'm a little worried there's been a mix-up.

No mistakes and no mind changing. The OL is wrong for a couple days because the dealer goes ahead and orders a generic MINI so they can still get an allotment if for some strange reason, they don't sell them. When you go in and order your MINI they just find the next available generic one and swap the options they picked with yours. So it just takes a couple days for that to reflect in the OL. Give it a couple days and check back to make sure something is correct. If most of it is, but one or two things aren't right, call your MA.

Can't wait!

I ordered on Sept 3 and finally got my production number yesterday (13 LONG days later)...woo hoo! I eagerly checked in with the Owner's Lounge and the order details are all correct, but it just says 'On Order'. How long will it take to get into a production week?

I'd like to join a group so I can join in the anticipatory thrills of mini ownership, but not sure which week to join. When I placed the order, I was told my car would be here 'end of Oct, early Nov'...but not sure how much credence to place on this. Our dealership here is still in the process of being built and they don't seem to be in the swing of all things Mini yet.

Looking at it logically, I know I waited longer for my kids to be born, but honestly, this seems harder! I guess I'm getting less patient with age...I WANT MY MINI!

Looks like we ordered on the same day and were given about the same info. The only difference is that I walked out of the dealership with a production number. I would call ASK MINI (1-866-ASK-MINI) and talk to a service rep. Give them your number and see if they have a production week for you. My guess is I'll see you over on the Week 40 thread soon.

Welcome to the NAMily!
(P.S. I grew up near Saginaw )

Thanks for the tip! Just called and found out production actually started this week...he called it Week 39. Guess I'm on target for a late October delivery after all! Again - woo hoo!

Now I can watch that video on MiniUSA again and imagine it's MY CAR going thru the line!
