Congrats to everyone!!!! I am in weeks 37 and thinking to myself, just one more week, just one more week, just one more week.......Can't wait to move into production.
Think I may go crazy over this whole Mini-thing.

Estimated completion date of Sept. 5....earlier than I expected. It's unlikely that it will make it onto the Integrity leaving for NY on Sept. 6, but looking pretty good for the Tombarra on Sept. 8.

Mini is all confused when I called them today. The rep was getting two messages, 1. my car is scheduled for production and is starting today (how is that possible when my car was in the paint shop last week) and 2. My car is complete and is in quality control checks. Of course I prefer to believe the latter but he did confirm that I was a week 36. He said he would send an error report because the system shouldnt give him two conflicting codes. He just told me to call my MA to confirm because they use a different system and would be able to tell me exactly where my car is in the process. Why do they not use the same system? Seems odd to me.

I just called ASK MINI and got a expected completion date of 9/6. Do you guys think it will make the Tombarra on 9/8? The 6th is a Saturday... do they transport cars to the dock on Sundays?

What do you guys think?

That's cutting it too tight. It takes some time to get the car on a train...67 miles to the docks, cars out on the flight deck waiting for the arrival of a ship that actually stops at your port of call, while waiting for the ship before it to fill up and get out of the way.

I'd guess 3-5 days from completion to being on a boat, depending on your location. More ships to the East Coast.

My MA has the same dual status report as askmini, she did confirm that regardless my mini is either already completed or will be completed in a day or two. Hopefully my baby will be able to make it on one of the first ships for the east coast but looking at the google earth pictures there are a lot of mini's already waiting in line.

Hope we all get to go together.

Ask MINI has been updated again. My car is in production with an estimated completion date of Sept. 6th. So based on this and it coming to the West coast still looking like middle of October for delivery to me.

So what happens to this thread when week 36'ers start shipping and new "Welcome aboard the xxx ship" threads start? Do we hang out here or a new thread?

I needed to stop by my dealer today. On the lot was a Mini that on the exterior is exactly like the one I ordered.....same color combo, wheels & sunroof. What a tease!

You have no idea when those satalite pictures were taken. They don't update them that often.

When I called the automated Ask MINI man, he told me my MINI was being painted, but the nice real-life Ask MINI lady told me my MINI was BORN and at the mfr, soon to be sent off to the port. Wheee!

Well all you West coast week 36's, looks like there are 2 possibilities for our ships depending on when your MINI is completed and gets to the docks. Both are WW line

1. Elektra, Dep Southamptom Sept 8th, Arr Port Hueneme Sept 29th
2. Traviata, Dep Southampton Sept 15th, Arr Port Hueneme Oct 5th

And if for some strange reason does not make either one of these it will be:

3. Medea, Dep Southampton Sept 22nd, Arr Port Hueneme Oct 12th

Only get weekly departures for West Coast and from what I can see K-Line does not go to the West Coast (please correct if wrong).

With my scheduled completion date of Sept 6th I would guess I will be on the Traviata. Then probably a few days after port arrival for it to get to Mountain View Mini in the Bay Area.

Also got the nod for production completed.
AskMini says should be about a week to make it on to the ship. So, this is looking good for Sept. 6th or 8th departure.

Thanks Browser! If I have any luck at all, I may make it on the Traviata. If not, for sure on the Medea. Just knowing all that info feels good. Thanks!

Whoohoo! I'm booked on the ANIARA. The ship hasn't arrived in Southampton just yet, but it comes in today and scoots out on the 4th. Estimated arrival in NY = 9/13.

Vroom!

Eurotrash, since I lag you by about a day, I'm hoping to be on the same ship (althought I can't track mine yet).

At worst, I should be able to get on Integrity leaving on 9/6!!
