Week 36 Model Year 2009 Support Group
Whoapower, did you say Rob was your MA?
Status 112
Yesterday my MA/SC confirmed the change from status 111 (order accepted at factory) to status 112 (order scheduled for production) so I'm hoping to stay with all you week 36ers. Anyone else here expecting a Clubman moved to status 112?
Here! I got the news on Tuesday. Still no VIN as of Thursday, and ASK-MINI is still saying the build will start the first week of September. My whining about other Week 36ers already being in production didn't work. Maybe the 2009 Clubman builds are being held up until then? Curse my need for those few extra cubic feet!
I was told that this might change, so I'll call again on Monday. I'm trying to be calm about it all -- at worst, my Clubman should be in production within 10 days. But next week would be so much nicer....

Oh yes it would! And to answer your query (about 20 posts back) about where you're planning to go on your first road trip(s), I'd like to go "down east" along the coast of Maine, possibly an inland trip to Quebec, and to western CT--where I'll be looking for Lola on Poverty Hollow Road!

Whoo HOO - AskMini said Week 36 - w/finish date of 9/3
Can't wait! Anyone getting roof graphics? I'll be scooting about in Annapolis MD and Outer Banks NC in a MC Chili pep red w/black roof & black stripes.
Looks like I get to stay with everyone! The good news is that Chester's (anyone else named theirs already?) scheduled for completion 9/3. The bad news is that they're still saying he has to go through CA to get to Texas, so there could easily be a month in transit.
I need to remember to start asking for status codes. I want to know specifically what I'm waiting for.

and jump ship off the Texas coast!Aaargh, still "scheduled for production", but no completion date yet. So envious of you guys with completion dates! But keep the updates comin'!
Are you calling your MA he should be able to give you your completion date and tell you what stage you MINI is in? He also has the order sheet that was accepted by the factory All I got from the ask mini # is the production week. As I understood it week 36 cars start being buit 8/24-8/30 (frame, doors, hood, roof, are welded together and painted Parts are selected etc) then starting 8/31-9/6 the car is completly assembled.

I heard from my MA that my car would be in production this week, and ASK-MINI says completion date should be 9/1. VIN shows up in order info at MINI owner's lounge.
Long month ahead of me, but I do appreciate that production was bumped about 2 weeks sooner than initially thought for an early '09 MCS.
Thanks for the input, Mr Ray and eurotrash01. My MA is off on Tuesdays, so I'll pester him tomorrow. So far no VIN in the OL or with live ASK-MINI folk; maybe the MA has it. They are still calling mine a Week 36 build, so maybe we'll start the end of the week. Fingers crossed and thumbs pressed!
Anyway, how are you guys progressing? Are you looking at shipping schedules yet? Are you driving the ASK-MINI folks crazy with your incessant calls? Details, guys, details!

In Paint Shop with the completion date of 9/1.
Then the 3 upcoming scheduled ships are;
Carmen leaving Southampton, UK 8/29 arriving at Port Hueneme, CA 9/16
Elektra leaving Southampton, UK 9/8 arriving at Port Hueneme, CA 9/29
Traviata leaving Southampton, UK 9/15 arriving at Port Hueneme, CA 10/5
So, it looks like either Elektra or Traviata for the West Coasters week 36 production! Cheers.

I got my production number a month ago and am still listed as 'scheduled for production with no specific date' when I call ASK MINI. When I got the # my MA noted that it was Week 36 production, but now I'm beginning to wonder.
In any event, for those headed from Southampton to New York there are ships leaving on Sept. 4,6, 8,13 and 16. Each is scheduled to arrive nine days after departure. This should mean that everyone headed to NY from Week 36 will arrive on this side of the pond no later than Sept. 25.

I was thinking about that baaad movie with Jennifer Garner. I'll leave it to you men to discuss the merits, or lack thereof, of her costume in that one.
I was a bit more concerned about the Traviata. Yeah, it's a great opera, but doesn't "traviata" roughly translate as "the wayward one" or "she who went off course"??
