Eurotrash, is your VIN listed yet? Mine isn't but according to Ask-Mini, it is waiting to board the ship. I'm assuming the car just hasn't been processed yet.

 

the automated voice tells me mine is still in the paint shop scheduled for 9/3 finish...its already 9/3 damnit!!

 

Mine was listed this AM (after putting in VIN) at WW, but it wasn't yesterday.

My completion date was 8/31. Yesterday's ASK MINI said it was en route to port and today AM said arrived at port. I just tried the WW site (crossing fingers) and there it was.

The ship comes in from Belgium today and leaves some time tomorrow.

Not sure if my time line is typical, but it seems so for an east coast delivery.

 

Mine is a day behind yours then. It was completed 9/1. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and try the VIN again tomorrow morning! lol wish me luck!

 

In the body shop today, paint shop tomorrow and assembly on Friday. ASK MINI rep says it's right on target for Sept. 5 completion. The only suspense now is when it will manage to hitch a ride. I gave permission to drive it to the dock at warp speed.

 

What Herby said! Just got the same timeline from ASK-MINI -- we must be pretty close together in the assembly line. I think they need a good "Italian Job" tunnel system between the plant and the port. Zoom!

 

When I talked to ASK-MINI yesterday, the rep was really unhelpful. "It's scheduled to have been in the body shop a couple days ago" he said. When will it be done? No idea. Off to make another call to them now, and I gotta say that I'm hopeful, what with everyone else boarding.

On the bright side, my MA tells me that Chester will come through Charleston, saving quite a bit in travel time! Much better than the nonsense ASK-MINI was telling me before.

 

Mine was completed 8/30 (based on automated ask mini voice). The OL status changed from "scheduled for production" to "awaiting transportation" as of last night.

I called ASK MINI yesterday also and the automated voice said that my car is "being transported to the port of exit". So I talked to the rep. and he told me that the completion date was actually 8/31 and its already arrived at the port of exit .

I tried to track using the WW tracking page las Eurotrash suggested but still no tracking info though. I guess East Coasters have plenty more ships than us West Coasters .

The next available ship to port Hueneme, CA is Elektra leaving UK 9/8 and arriving 9/29......I hope that mine is on this one, this waiting game is driving me nuts!!!

 

Just got off the phone with ASK MINI...Sparky was completed today!!

Next it's off to the port of exit to await its cruise over the pond. See you guys on the ship and hopefully the shipping route will be free of hurricanes between Southampton and Hueneme.

 

This may be a complete red herring but the WESTERN HIGHWAY car carrier is docked in Southampton, and that is one used for MINIs as well. It isn't a WW ship, however, so plugging in a VIN in my earlier link wouldn't help.

I can't believe I didn't call ASK-MINI today--Will my baby will be complete on Friday?! Here's hoping to ship on the TOMBARRA, Monday the 8th, with some of you here. Latcho Drom--safe journey!

Just got off the phone with ASK MINI and my baby is scheduled to be completed on Sep 6th. Can't wait. It sure helps that i am not the only one waiting .

Wonder if your car will get off on the East Coast or if you have to wait until it gets to the West Coast. Denver is kind of in the middle. Did your dealer tell you your port of entry?

 

Didn't call ASK-MINI today?!? Elegantmini, you're a stronger person than I! Marasmini, welcome! Li/S Clubman with aero kit sounds utterly cool.

 

No my MA did not specify the port of entry, but i will give him a call whenever i find out that the car got on to a boat to find out onto which one. Then ANTICIPATION!!!! and tracking the ship as it travels across the pond .

Hopefully the hurricane season is NOT going to delay things.

 

I am jealous guys! Called 'Ask Mini' again today and still nothing. At this point I think that I may be red flagged because they are answering the phone with "Hello Mrs. ....". Had to promise my husband that I will not call them again till Monday. .....Mmmmm, not so sure I can do that. I will keep you posted.

I must've missed this...but how do I know what ship my car will be on?

Supposedly it'll be finished tomorrow (according to ASK MINI).
