My MA confirmed that my Clubman is indeed at the VDC, and said that I can take delivery early next week. Wheee!! Gotta get the nursery ready!

Wow! I am blown away by the quality of this R56. It pulls strong and evenly....even better than my modded R53. Great low end torque. It's body is more solid and the ride is much more comfortable, especially with non-runflat tires. Mini has really hit the mark with this one...a more civilized driving machine. I'm not even going to bother getting the JCW kit. Instead, I'll drive it for a while as is and if anything, I might consider a GIAC engine tune for added punch. I doubt it though. Lots and lots of neat features and I'm glad I got the sunroof.... pretty neat. The laser blue color and anthracite headliner are fabulous. All in all, better than I even expected.

You're gonna LOVE your Mini! Pics will follow.

I'll have the R53 until Thursday and will have some fun comparing them. Going to do a side by side photo-op.

Nice!

Laser Blue is my second choice.

Mine was discharged from the Elektra 2AM this morning. Not too long now, not too long.

Oooooohhhh, that is one gorgeous MINI, Herby! Love LaB/W -- it really pops! The white turn signals are a great touch. And MiniCS, what's that beauty doing in a garage on its first day home? I don't care what time it is, shouldn't it be tearing around town? Congrats to you both!!

I'm glade I waited for my MCS. This is my first Mini, I've had Subaru's since 1995. Once I figure out all the radio/computer buttons life will be wonderful

Laser blue seemsto be the first choice of very few out there in MiniLand. Out of fifty cars on the dealer's lot there were only two....one was mine and the other was an all LaB Clubman.

I was laboring today too at trying to figure out how to manage all of the computer settings. It took some trial & error, but I got the hang of it. Still can't find the on-off setting for HiFi radio.

You are all going to LOVE your Mini's!!!

Dealership just called -- my MINI may be in tomorrow!!!! And he was asking when tomorrow or Thursday I might be available to pick it up!! I was actually too stunned and excited to think clearly enough to answer at first. I'll know by early tomorrow afternoon what's going on. It all depends on when the truck arrives. But I should have it by the weekend. Needless to say, I'm flying right now.

Time is near! Go week 36ers! My MA sent pictures, and now my baby is real. Got to arrange time off, paperwork and transport but, I should be motoring by early next week.

135 days and counting...

Exactly! I'm leaving Subaru land as well. Not too worried about the radio buttons but the OB computer will be a new experience for sure.

Finally received mine on Saturday! I've already given (and received) waves to other Mini owners. For the first time I have the coolest car in the High School parking lot (I'm a teacher). I just wish my commute were longer! Well worth the wait. I saw lots of envy in the eyes of those customers at the dealership who were just ordering their cars.

Congrats to everyone else also!

Don't worry about the computer. It really is easy to use. No worries!

AlecA, my wife is a teach also and got the same response. A lot of people wanted to see the car and she has the nicest car in the lot for sure! It's especially appealing to people here becase the closest dealership is about 3 hours away. You rarely see them.

I'm taking delivery tomorrow at 2:30. Yippee!!! Did all the financial paper-signing today, the insurance agent is on the way to the dealer so I can pick up my proof of insurance card, the title and keys are ready to turn over at trade-in time, I already cleaned out the Durango (bye bye Behemoth!), and at some point I'm gonna have to remember to breathe.

Less than 21 hours to go! It'll take all my will power not to drive by the dealer tonight.

Looks like early next week is when mine will be available to pick up. Was hoping for this weekend. I'll just be patient, especially in this economic climate.

The '09 is a luxury car compared to the '06. Fit and finish appear to be vastly improved.....not a creak or rattle to be heard.....much better with road imperfections. However, it rained today and I wish Mini would finally figure out how to keep water from pouring in when the window is open. Otherwise, this car is amazing.

Glad to hear everyone's Mini's are being readied for pick-up or already on the road. Week 40 is a big one for Week 36ers.

Financing options...

So what's everyone doing for financing? I've been interested in using PenFed and taking advantage of their 4.75% rate, but I keep seeing complaints both about service, and clarity with their product. Anyone going with MINI (BMW) financing? I would be happy with something in the low 5's, but it doesn't sound like they will be getting that low...

Just for reference, I'm in So Cal looking at a 60 month 80+% loan...

Cheers!

I picked my baby up today!!! Here is a pic. I love him so much, glad I got the manual, only stalled 4 times in the 45 minutes home but it is so much more fun then it would be if it was automatic. Otto's was so great hope everyone's delivery goes as smoothly as mine went.

Hope the rain stops soon so Chip can get squeaky clean. Enjoy Motoring!

My loan is 4.65%...I close tomorrow or Friday. It's through a local credit union (Detroit metro area) and is the lowest rate I could find anywhere. I've heard that credit unions are the way to go if that's an option for you....good luck and enjoy your new car!!!!
