As of midnight, I'm "en route" too!!! My little one must have made the Caribbean Highway after all. The one person at my dealer who can confirm this is off on Thursdays, but you know I'll be calling him first thing Friday. Now to stock up on detailing products. Yippee!!!!

 

Interesting. My MINI got on a ship Tuesday and I still show awaiting transport. OL is not very consistent.

 

Actually, it's very consistent -- consistently slow as a turtle, that is! The Caribbean Highway left on Friday the 12th, and it just now came up on the OL as "en route". Aaargh. Didn't help that nobody knew they were on the CH until Tuesday. At this rate, don't expect the OL to show you as "en route" until at least Saturday.

 

Finally, my MCS was off loaded in New York at 11:03pm last night. At least it's in the States. It will be just a short time now

I spoke to my MA this afternoon. My MCS should be delivered to the dealer on Monday baring any disasters I should have my car next week. For those who says the time goes by quickly try driving a Kia Spectra for 2 1/2 months

Well, I got the word Friday that me Mini was at the dealers! They have a few things to do, and it will finally be ready to pick up.

Unfortunately, since the dealer is 2 hours away, I won't be able to pick it up until the 27th .

I guess I can wait a little bit longer.

 

AlecA, you will be one of the FIRST to get a 2009! AND SS/B!! Congrats on the long awaited uniting! I think us Elektra peeps are just about to go through the Panama Canal, so we're almost there.

I'm getting Mini #2 ready to pass on to it's new owner. I want it to look as good as new when it begins it's new life. I have owned supercharged Mini's since September 17, 2002 and feeling nostalgic now every time I drive The Silver Dart. But truth be known, the '09 turbo will be the best of all! In a very short time all of you Week 36ers will be motoring along with a grin that just can't be wiped off....mine is still there after six years. Thanks for sharing the waiting experience and happy motoring to all of you!

 

Anyone got their MINI yet? There are rumors that they haven't passed the EPA tests yet and not being allowed outside of the VDC.

 

Was just at the dealer today, they told me how little me current car is worth to them as a trade in. Oh well!

Anyway. We checked in on my MINI and it looks like it is still sitting at the dock to goto the VDC or it may have just arrived at the VDC. I ordered from Otto's in West Chester, PA and she said delivery would probably be late next week after the dealer prep is done.

She didnt give a reason for it taking almost 2 weeks from arrival in port.

 

My MCS has been there since the 17th. The eta to the dealer was supposed to be the 22nd. It's still at the VDC as of 1:00 today. Maybe the rumors are true. The dealer can only tell me that the invoice has been printed at the VDC but not yet completed, and the car has not been released to the carrier.
I am not getting impatient !!!

I assume you came in on the ANIRIA on the 13 in NYC . Dealers have 09's where are ours? Anyone get there 09 in Jersey area? 12 days in NJ nothing.

 

I was on the first shipment 13th still nothing with a 20th eta at dealer

 

Are the 09s JCWs? Those have been around since July....

 

I was offerd an 09' JCW clubman that was cancelled when I ordered on 8/4/08.
Its was on the showroom floor also with a JCW cooper 09' that was marked sold.

 

This news is troubling since I have to turn my current Mini over to it's new owner next Wednesday. Sounds a bit ominous.....hope they get their act together real soon.
