Same here Rupert was completed on the 6th and so far no sign of him since he left the factory I figure he is waiting for a "smooth" sailing trip - wants to make sure all those hurricanes are out of the picture!

OK, sounds like there's a lot of Minis loafing around on the docks for a few extra days. I don't feel so bad knowing there's company.

I'll be traveling through Charleston. Not exactly the direct route to Minnesota, but that's what my paperwork says...

Funny, because I've had that song running through my head for the past few days.

Okay, all of you waiting from the middle of the country or the west coast---the only good thing about being on the east coast is the trip from Southampton is pretty direct. Please note I've been waiting for my car since May!!

Mine completed build on 9/5; it was scheduled to finish 9/3, so maybe I've just got myself a slow one? I was hoping for delivery in time for nice fall motoring, but at this rate, we'll have snow before it arrives.
I have to echo your comments on this one, I dont understand how the MINI guys decide on what ships and what does not. I have seen cars built after mine already on the INDEPENDENCE II which makes me a little disheartened. One one hand I feel happy that some of you guys can enjoy your cars quicker, just wish I was on the last ship as well instead of sitting on the dock for a week.

Woohoo, just went online to the WW site and my MINI is confirmed on the Traviata to depart today. Should have her by mid October.

Sucks us West Coasters only get 1 ship a week and it takes longer to get here. Oh well.

Looks like she is a day behind schedule. Pulling into Southampton on the 16th and departing on the 16th. Due to arrive Port Hueneme on October 6th.

Yeah, traviata was originally scheduled to be @ Southampton today Sep 15th, but for some reason it got stuck in Bremenhaven port for an extra day, so now we will have to wait a whole day longer to get our MINIs :(

Traviata has finally made her appearance in Southampton. In couple of hours our MINIs will start getting aboard in an orderly fashion and then 20 days of ocean cruise and buffets and sunbathing . These last 4 weeks till delivery are going to be the longest. PLEASE fast forward to mid October .

Hi there-

Long time lurker, first time poster here. My Clubman was scheduled for completion on 9/1, but didn't actually finish production until 9/6. Best I can tell it's been waiting on the dock at Southampton for almost a week. My VIN has never showed up on the WW auto cargo tracking site.

This morning I got an email from my MA that my Mini "is on a ship and should arrive the US around the 28th" of Sept. Since I don't show up on any of the WW manifests, I can only assume that I made it onto the Caribbean Highway. It's a guess though and not perfect: my MA doesn't really know which port I'm coming into (sigh) or the ship name (double sigh). The Caribbean Highway is due to arrive in Charleston (which I've been assuming is my port of entry, my dealership is located in Chicago) on Sept. 25 according to K-Line's schedule, but tancred posted a few days ago that the vessel was delayed leaving Southampton.

I'm just excited that there's at least one system at Mini showing my vehicle in on a boat

Great news! I can only hope that my MINI is with yours! Mine was built back on 9/5 and has been chilling at the port for a week now. Destination is Charleston, too, so here's hoping....

I'm totally going through tracking withdrawal, having no clue where it is and when I should expect it to arrive. I need a fix! Ha.

Yahoo, the Tombarra has departed from Halifax and is due in New York tomorrow. Anyone know how long it takes to get through the PDC and on the trucks?

Update: Just heard from my MA and he says my car will arrive in the US on Sept. 26 (so I'm assuming it must be on a ship somewhere at this point?) and that it takes about 10 days after that for it to arrive at the dealership (in Ohio). So...he says I'm looking at an Oct. 7 delivery date. Can't WAIT!

The cars have to clear customs before being released to the VDC.
VDC processes a total 500 vehicles a day thats MINI's and BMW combined.
275 Minis arrived Saturday + BMW. A ship arrived Monday,Tuesday, and tomorrow (yours). This was what I was told by the truck driver that delivers to my dealer VDC is closed on Sundays.
Titles have to be released from BMW and sent to your dealer they dont ship with the car. I would expect that if you dont live in NJ or NYC that you will sit on a storage lot till they get a full load to ship to your area, where as in NJ my dealer gets 2 to 3 cars a day dont know if he gets BMW on the same truck as they are not in the same location and the 2x's I saw a MINI delivery the truck left empty. My dealer claims 48hrs Ill let you know if it arrives tomorrow,(havent talked directly to my MA yet).
If you look at the billing invoice for your ship it will tell you how many MINIS are delived at your port of exit BWM's also travel on same ship, provided that it orginated in Sweden or Germany.

A guy that got an '08 from my dealer (he ordered a day after me ) said his car arrived at dealer 1 day after it arrived at port.

crlobx, I was on the Integrity too! I got a call from Towson letting me know it should be ready by next week. And I found a buyer for my 2002 Infiniti G20. Good times all around!

P.S. This is my first post - though I've been on this site every day since my coop was ordered!

I think I just might be on there with you... while my MA said they don't have the info yet, ASK MINI says that I'm in transit which would mean that I would also be on the Caribbean Highway--- woot!

Maybe I'm on there too! In the past 24 hours, my ASK-MINI status changed to "In Transit".
It's a big boat; bet they can fit a whole lotta Minis on there.
