That is just hype... My local Mini Dealer had a Blue MC all weekend on the lot, unsold... (MAYBE it was a preorder that was not accepted...) It may be sold by now, but they had one on the lot...

My MCS is loaded on the vessel and ready to come home to mama .

P.S. The base model only went up $500 but the S went up $1400 - don't know about the others.

Hi 3one3,

were you able to find out that you were on the Don Juan on the WW website or through your MA? I am hoping to make the DJ, but as of yet my VIN gives no info on their website.

Congrats on making the DJ..... you'll have your car in no time!

As far as my records show, the 2008 MCS was $21,200... The 2009 is $750 more...

+1

The MCS base price went up $750 but now includes the DSC which was previously a $500 option. So for equally equipped cars, the price only went up $250.

Make sure the stealership will let you use it. If they do I can almost guarantee that they have a limit on what they will accept. Typically its no more than $2000.

As well Im on the Aida coming my way too bad i cant pick it up at the receiving facility I can go see it come off the boat but have to drive 70 miles to pick it up!

Can you write the check in your name, cash it, and bank the amount until you pick up the Mini? That way the Dealer only sees it as cash from you...

Yes, there's another forum regarding financing that I've been checking out. When I mentioned my plan they said a few people had used balance transfer checks with no problem but a couple of dealers wouldn't release the vehicle until it had cleared (up to 10 days - not acceptable).

So ... I went back read the package and it says I can deposit it to my bank account (no extra fees/charges) but again I have to wait for the check to clear before I can use it. I figure I'll deposit it in a couple of weeks and it should be cleared by the time my baby is ready for pick-up. Then I think I'll just get a cashiers' check. That way no delay for sure!

I can't stand to wait another second longer than I have to. My poor MA is probably going to get real tired of me cause I'm going to be calling everyday after it arrives to find when, when, when ...

I think the AIDA left port. I was checking marinetraffic.com and they have already posted their ETA to Panama 8/10 0500 (ahead of schedule!).

In a similar situation as you here. Ordered my Clubman S on 7/5, completed 7/25, at the port on 7/28 - still no confirmation it's on the Don Juan. Sure hope I don't have to wait till next ship!!!

Isn't this AWESOME?!! I just checked my status with WW and they've got me as "LOADED ON VESSEL." I know I'm sounding a little crazy right now (gee, ya think?) and a year or so from now, I'm going to look back and say "Sheesh! What a loon!" when I re-read what I've written, but these are exciting times and I'm totally living in the moment.

I hope everyone who's been "hanging out in port" got a ride aboard the AIDA. If not, I hope the next ship is not far behind!

You might not catch the Don Juan. I was at the port on the 26th hoping for this ship, however this is the first ship going to the port of NY in 10 days so I am sure there are a lot of MINI's that are in line ahead of us.

I just started a new thread for the Integrity leaving Southampton on 8/1 and arriving in NY on 8/11. It contains tracking links as well. All Aboard!

Cool! I've got a thread going too, showing the progress of the Aida. Nice way to keep track of her whereabouts!

Just FYI, my mistake MINI finally showed up as "En Route" on OL this morning. This is three days after the ship actually left port.

That's hysterical! My car still shows as "Awaiting Transport" on the OL!

Well, to their credit, they did add a disclaimer at the bottom of the status page; it says something like "Sometimes your dealer knows more about your car than we do. Check with them."

Winston I, is cruising on the "Don Juan" and getting near Halifax.
Stops in NY, Baltimore then Brunswick, GA.
I really really hope I get him before the end of August in South Fla!
