Our ships are moving!! It's hard to believe that our waiting time is ALMOST over! Much sooner for some... but we are all getting there!!

Sikamini, storm was nothing! This happens a lot.. but you just never know... so you have to 'get ready'. Schools just started on Monday, and the kids all had off today! Lot of placed closed for the day... but it has hardly even rained and the wind has been much worst with just 'normal' storms. Glad though she fizzled out....

I've been busy and away the whole day - which makes the time pass quicker! I was told that when I first ordered that the next communication would be from the Sales Manager... but I haven't heard from him yet!

So next stop for my ship, Fidelio... will be the USA! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to hurry up and get here!

Yep, better they fizzle out!! I've lived in the Northeast too, in Leominster, and Grafton (Mass) it was nice up there, but can't bear to think how Calmante's poor MINI will suffer on winter roads. Do they still use salt on roads? I probably would store the car for 9 months instead of driving it. Glad to hear everything is okay in your part of Florida.

Calmante any word from your MA? Have you been told when you get your baby?

Yes, salt is still used on many of the local roads, but many towns just use sand now. Don't feel bad for my MINI, it'll love being a tough little guy, carting around in the middle of all the New England AWD vehicles.

 

Ugh, I really wish I knew when my MINI was leaving VDC. This is probably more frustrating than when it was on the boat. I WANT MY CAR!!

 

Now, I have been reading that the OL indicated when our babies will be arriving to the dealers.. so maybe we will all have to start checking the MINIUSA site again!

I have taken a few vacations where I don't have phones, computers and such... both love it and hate it at the same time! I really feel a bit disconnected without my computer fix!

 

I can't stand the wait! I really didn't think it would be this bad.

My OL still says "En Route" and ASKMINI automated says "Vehicle is at the port waiting for a shipping vessel". But I know it hit VDC on Monday. Urgh.

 

West coast people still have to wait couple more weeks...

Slowly running out of patience... hahha btw, my MA @ Southbay MINI has stopped responding to my email... i dont know why... maybe he got canned.. lol

Nothing yet showing on mine.. but it has not yet reach it's GA destination! 6 more days.. just 6 more days and it will FINALLY arrive to the VDC! (boy, those 6 days seem like a year!

Tu13es, the system is just messed up! Mine really was messed up that last week - they didn't know where the car was! Both the OL and ASKMINI tell me 'it's enroute' (which it is) I know that the OL is 3-4 days behind.. so it really is possible, that you baby will reach the dealer BEFORE the OL updates!

 

My MINI was at the VDC on the 14th, but the OL didn't show that till the 17th. So, I'll bet yours will update tomorrow, or Friday at the latest.

ASK MINI automated says the same thing for me.

D'oh. I ordered my rubber floor mats and mud flaps (from Classic) yesterday figuring I'd have the car by the time they get shipped here as getting parts delivered before having the car would drive me nuts!

Turns out the mats n flaps are getting here tomorrow!

She is on her way to Charleston, due in 1:00 in the morning tonight!

She should be in New York sometime tomorrow or tonight, if not already there now. New York seems like the Bermuda Triangle of MINI info, can't seem to consistently see any ships there. I saw when she left Halifax and she is scheduled to be in New York tomorrow!

 

Thanks! HURRAY!!! Now if MINI can just get his little self onto a truck and get here!!! I really want to see him before Labor Day! I wonder if that is going to be possible.

 

Western Highway should be getting close to Charleston ... I'm confident we'll have our cars by Friday of next week.
